This year we're offering a fantastic extra 10% discount for students on all our promoted prices on Waterstones.com, only with the Waterstone's Card.

All you need to enjoy an extra 10% off is a valid NUS number, a Waterstone's Card and a Waterstones.com account.

Once you've registered you'll automatically receive your 10% discount when you check out, and remember, when shopping on Waterstones.com this is an additional 10% discount on our already discounted prices!

So...

If you don't have a Waterstone's Card or an online account -

Create an account now - it's very easy! Then go to 'Join scheme' under the 'My account' menu on the left, and finally 'personal details' where you can enter your student details at the bottom. Create an account now

If you have an online account but don't yet have a Waterstone's Card -

They must be linked, so if they aren't, simply sign in and go to 'Link card' under the 'My account' menu on the left, then 'personal details' where you can enter your student details at the bottom. Sign in now

This not-to-be-missed offer runs until 29th October 2008 and is available in stores, where you will get 10% off any non-discounted prices, and here on Waterstones.com where you can enjoy an additional 10% discount on our promoted prices!

If you sign up for a Waterstone's Card you can earn three points for every £1 you spend in store and online. It's free and easy to join, and you can start earning points straight away.

You can only use your student use your student discount or the 20% off code. Just tried it and when I put in 20% off code it wiped out my 10% discount. Obviously the 20% is a better deal while it lasts.

Does this have to be the number from an NUS extra card? I've entered all the numbers from my uni card and it's not accepting any. Yet on the back of my card it says 'this card proves the holder is a member of the national union of students with reciprocal membership rights.'

I can't afford the £10 for an NUS extra card, hence me needing the student discount in the first place!

You need an extra card sadly. Just being an NUS member does not entitle you to it.
