Over half of the world population now believe in this theory, eventually everyone will..... Look at the evidence its right infront of us!

Is it possible that intelligent life forms visited Earth thousands of years ago, bringing with them technology that drastically affected the course of history and our own development? Originally presented in Erich von Daniken’s 1968 bestseller Chariots of the Gods, the theory of ‘ancient aliens’ rocked our accepted notions of mankind’s natural evolution. Ancient cave drawings of strange creatures, remains of landing strips in Peru and Indian texts that describe the ‘flying machines of the gods’ are just a few of the odd archaeological artefacts cited by von Daniken as proof that ancient astronauts were well known to our ancestors

If you believe that humans are the only life forms in the universe, you are very small minded. Just have an open mind and watch this. Perhaps many aspects of the bible are true but they are being read in the wrong context. What if the so called "mighty lord" was actually a being from another planet.

NO

Really interesting series, funny to see the knee jerk reactions it prompts in some ppl.

Adam and eve? sure. Evolved from primates? sure. Immaculate Conception? sure.

Bred as a slave race to mine the earth....... No effffing way.

lmao.

There's a new documentary that proves alien spaceships have come to earth. I think it's called 'I'm Danny Dyer and I believe in Aliens'

What, one who created the earth and all the universe, raised the dead including raising Himself from the grave? Umm... I don't think so.
It's not being small minded to not believe in aliens, it is small minded and big-headed to think all the universe including our life was all by chance. If I recall some scientists giving their thoughts - non-Christian ones included, to get just a handful of cells in the right order for life was something like 10 to the power of 43. The sooner people realise God exists and accepts Him, and that He created everything, it will save countless millions on trying to find something out in space that isn't there. The plus side is also you won't burn in Hell.

1 single proof of God please. If there really was proof of God there would be no debate.

*I think i have this recorded on sky+, an incentive now to watch it!

Yeah, entirely possible. What is undeniable is that there are none left now :p

It is known that Erich von Daniken himself admitted he was a con-artist, yes?

He's been totally discredited. Every piece of 'evidence' in his books, he just made up or manufactured.

Life once existed on Mars although very very primative it still existed so there is some proof for you!
Also isn't one of Jupiters Moons Europa supposedly teaming with life? Although not proven yet see below extract from NASA:
Below its icy crust Jupiter's moon Europa is believed to host a global ocean up to a hundred miles (160 kilometers) deep, with no land to speak of at the surface.
Its only a matter of time before they make their presence known and EXPIRE this thread by being a NEW super MOD and taking all other MODS powers away leaving us all powerless!

It`s the absolute height of delusion and arrogance to believe that the entirety of creation, to the limit of what we can see across the 93 billion light years diameter of the observable universe, exists just for the sake of some puny humans on an insignificant ball of rock, orbitting a bog standard star at a normal distance away from the centre of an utterly unremarkable galaxy. Do you honestly believe that (insert name of your choice of imagainary friend here) created all this, just to make the people who believe in your particular brand of delusion happy? Does it seem at all reasonable that (your imaginary friends name here) created all the observeable universe just for a few tens of millions of true believers on one tiny planet?

To then go on and believe in hell - seriously? You think it`s unreasnable for the universe to exist without a creator, but you`ll happily believe in fire and brimstone?

I`ve got a bridge in London to sell, you strike me as a potential buyer. Can`t imagine why.

Mars - as far as I know it`s not absolutely 100% confirmed that there was life there, but all the evidence points that way. Same for Europa - no absolute evidence for life, but it`s fairly likely.

But don`t forget, god has a book written 2000 years ago about him, that has been trnaslated many times between many different languages. How can you believe science when you could read a mistranslated book of parables and fables?

To show the problems of translation here is some original text:

In the beginning, there was a man who built a house. It was a good house, and he was happy. Then he fitted the lights, and they where good, and he was happy. Then he did the plumbing – again it was good. Then he rented it out to a pair of students, and they trashed it.

Now translated English - Greek - German - Arabic - English:

Am Anfang gap exceeded the eyes of Man, bauen der appointed House.

You can see how the bible came to be to book it is today.

There may well be aliens/other forms of life somewhere in the Universe.

Have aliens ever visted this planet NO, people who think there are flying saucers/alien visits etc. simply do not understand/appreciate how far away other suns and planets are from our solar system. It is just not physically possible/realistic for them to travel here.
Understand what a light year is and how long it would take to make the journey.

your assuming these life forms are at the same evolutionary period as ourselves, just because we have not found a way of travelling light years does not mean other life forms have not either.
I think the discussing about God or no god can go on and on. What kind of God are we talking about? the Christian god? come on pppff. biggest load of rubbish, do this and make me happy, but do this and you will make me angry, but remember I love you all!!! and you all have free will to do whatever you want, but please love me!! com on, how can we have exact rules to what makes God happy, no-one knows. be good, try and not hurt anyone, and think about how you would feel before doing anything to anyone. simple, I dont need dudes with white collars telling me what I should or should not do, and that god loves me,

I think its a perfectly possible theory. Who's to say Churches and Mosques etc throughout the World arent actually worshipping that exact Alien???

It would take 357 years to reach our next nearest star if we hitched a ride on Voyager, the space probe that was launched in the mid 70's. That is now at the edge of our solar system and travelling at 11,000 miles per second (yes per second). So if Aliens have visited us they must have some super duper technology which they certainly didn't leave behind!

If by chance our next nearest star had habitable planet/s around it supporting intelligent life I think we would be very LUCKY indeed.
#30
Life almost certainly exists elsewhere but we've not been visted by intelligent life as its not physically practical accprding to Special Realtivity!

It would require relativistic speeds, which in turn would require impossible energies for any appreciable mass, and death-inducing accelerations. Even at light speed (which is impossible for us to achieve), it would take over 4 years just to get to Alpha Centauri, our nearest neighbor. At energies we could envision being able to harness and accelerations we might be able to survive, the journey is more likely measured in hundreds of years, if not eons. and Alpha centauri or any stars within at least 7 light years distance dont have any planets capable of supporting advanced life!
Seems like a hell of an effort to visit a bunch of barbarous savages!
#31
Althog theres nothing ti say these monuments/pyramids etc werent inspired by a previously advanced earth based human civilization that got wiped out by a planetary disaster! Graham Hancock has some interesting theories on this as human have been around in our current physiological same state for at least 200,000 years yet according to conventional historians we only started building structures and living in advanced communities for the last 7,000 years or so! So we just sat around picking fleas out of our **** for 193,000 of those years even though our brains were the same size and had the same capacity they do now roughly?

Who created God? What was 'it' made out off? Who/what created the stuff that made God? Is God a physical being? How did God get such amazing powers?

Billions of galaxies, each with billions of stars. And everywhere we look we find planets. Nobody can yet say how many planets there are, but I`d be very surprised if it was in the trillions per galaxy :-)

Near light speed would be possible in the vaccum of space if we could attain a way of doing so. It is only the force of gravity that causes such neck breaking G's on Earth.

Voyager is currently moving at about 17 km a second. 11,000 km a second is a good portion of the speed of light.

With technology that is foreseeable to us now, travelling to another star is possible. Technically difficult yes, but no bigger leap than the first people to go to the Americas for example.

Don`t forget that the people making the journey would age slowly, relative to the length of time an observor would see the journey take. Go fast enough and it`s possible to cross the galaxy in a human lifetime, but only if the lifetime is measured on the ship making the journey :-)

What is your IQ?

Do you even understand the question?

Your Christian "God" is responsible for the rape, murder, torture and pillage of peaceful people
throughout the world...

Even my young kids realise that the Bible is a book of fairy stories for the week minded....
