Just got back from Asda and treated myself to a good few bottles of this wine. It's a decent wine as we've had it many times before and at £2.00 a bottle it's an absolute steal. There were hundreds piled high and I understand that this isn't just available in my store.

Andrew Peace `Mighty Murray` White 75cl, SE Australia. Made from Semillon, Colombard and Chardonnay grapes, this is a fresh and vibrantly fruity dry white wine with juicy lime and apple flavours - excellent on its own or as an aperitif, or to accompany a wide variety of savoury dishes

I think the duty on above 5% proof was more than £2.00, so I guess this is sub 5%? (thats why you see cheep deals on 4.99 proof wines).

Unless it's a loss leader to drive footfall, pre peak season.

None in Asda, Clydebank... :x

TBH you can buy 11% wines for £2.xx a bottle (Tesco Value is sold by the litre at £3.20 or so) so I'd have thought this is just a loss leader.

I would spend the £2 on something else to be honest. a 2 quid bottle of wine perhaps doesn't make the best present in the world!

If you like it it's nice, if you don't it isn't. It's a personal opinion!
#29
I've not tried it, but i've been told by friends who have drunk it that it's no better and no worse than any other basic cheap white.
If you're drinking before a night out it'll do...but you might not want it to celebrate your anniversary!
