For those who havent set Android pay up before and on TSB you will need to get a PIN set up for telephone banking when you first set android pay up.

Dont know if other banks are the same.

Do we know the list of stores accept Android Pay.

I was trying at a Tesco Extra last week and nothing was happening.

On Android website, Tesco is not on the list (where all th store logos are) - https://www.android.com/intl/en_uk/pay/

Tesco definitely does work. Costa works too. pretty much any store that has contactless sign works as far as I have found.

tesco is not listed on the Android pay app either

As mentioned above, it should work everywhere contactless is accepted.
The phone can't be in sleep mode when you try to pay. The screen must be on, you don't have to unlock your phone, though.

ANYWHERE you see the above logo you can use Android Pay, it's not like Apple Pay where the machine has to be Apple pay ready. If you can tap a contactless card, you can use it.
Supermarkets vary from location, my Tesco nearest me doesn't accept contactless BUT the Tesco Superstore further down the road does.
ALL banks issue contactless cards now by default, so more and more places are coming online daily to use contactless, and like i said, wherever you see contactless Android Pay will work!
I ve been using it since the UK launch, and i swear by it, great experience and accepted almost everywhere locally to me.
PS (just noticed Uber has started taking Android Pay within the app too)!
Heat op!!

Strange. I got a new debit card recently and asked on the phone if it would be contactless, she didn't know. It arrived and is not contactless, so they don't all send them by default, I found it odd.
That was with Lloyds by the way. All my credit cards are contactless though.

Whats the difference between Apple Pay vs Android Pay?

anyone :p

Heads up, Sainsburys will not scan the loyalty card, even when the app recognising you are in store and prompt you to show the cashier. 1st woman refused to scan it, 2nd woman tried but said the scanners weren't equipped to read it. Also said they couldn't type the code in.

It doesn't work in my local wilko's even though it has contactless payment, have to use my card instead. Works everywhere else I've tried though

It doesn't always work with a locked screen. If you unlock it pretty much works every time on any payment terminal which accepts contactless payments.

Tapped and paid in 4 different stores today but got only one coin oO

update: found the rest of the coins under the offer banner within the app. Just confetti after the first 5 taps.

When Android Pay first launched it only used to work with a select list of retailers, now they have changed it so it will work whereever the contactless symbol is seen.
