Topcashback also available. Prusa i3 clone has received good reviews and it's cheap enough to dip my toe into the world of 3d printing. Comes in kit format so assembly required.

still a good price for a 3D printer but important comments on the other thread about using it - plug, filamaet, temperamental to mention just 3

Doh! That'll teach me to not keep up to date with HUKDS! I did a search when I saw it but didn't see the other post. Sorry for the repeat find folks :(

Just watch the video review on youtube..

WOW these are miles off being practical consumer products, first the build process would put most off, then the print speed is very slow but worst for me is the finish on the printed product... they are a way off yet. but i suppose its a good price if you are happy with it at this level.

Good price for this. My only criticism of this would be that the perspex isn't very stiff and apparently prone to cracking, especially is you're not careful about over-tightening things.

For most people, the Da Vinci Junior on ebuyer @ £200 might be a more practical option. It uses bespoke filament that is expensive, but it's quite easy to flash it repetier firmware. It was £180 on Black Friday, but sadly gone up.

For most people just wanting an easy route to 3D printing, the extra £60 will offset the time and stress of building the kit.

I voted this kit hot, though as it's very cheap!

I would also recommend the Da Vinci Jr - It works out of the box and the prints are pretty decent.

I ordered one of these a month ago and it's still processing they keep saying it'll ship in the next week, has anybody received theirs?

Does software come with this? What software can people recommend to make personal 3d designs?

Anyone been hit by import TAX from this site?
#12
OK, checked that this is delivered by DHL, which means your going to pay 20% import TAX plus DHL's £12 admin fee, making this £178.42

Still a good price though, but don't forget to add your filament and extra nozzles!
