I also had one of them 3 years ago. Used until my daughter was a year old.she was born with breathing problems and the alarm sounded more than a few times each time my baby had stopped breathing.
I don't think there a danger as long as there positioned correctly, I always tucked my wire away. Mothers that are concerned could always tie the wire to the cot with zip ties. Nice find.

Totally amazing. I paid £99 for this in 2012 for my little boy. This is an excellent monitor which provides peace of mind.

They are only a hazard if you don't logically think about where to put the wires. You can get a cover for. At wires but in uk they weren't recalled.
#7
yeah they were recalled in america only.. in the uk they sent out a connector thing and the cord goes through that.

Yeah, you can go on the website and order a connector for free. Great monitor and really good price!

great price, is this store specific? has anyone found any in their local?

Heat from me, although will probably be difficult to find if store specific. We love ours...nice and simple, but reassuring with the pressure pad.

Great find!

had one for my daughter. it was excellent and that's an amazing price.

Fantastic piece of kit. Bought ours from Amazon at 3 times the price and haven't regretted it! Very Hot if you can find one :)

Hate these store-only deals, its pot luck and a complete waste of journey in nearly all cases.

This doesn't look like the normal one as there doesn't appear to be any lcd display and just shows lights. Given that the lcd one is usually around £79 I think the rrp is a little inflated. Still a good price for a monitor though.
#18
wow!!
#19
Just to note, the temperature readings on this is inaccurate I've found, sometimes by 2/3°.
#20
I my opinion AC401 is much better than this.
#21
Showing £62.50 on Tesco Direct, appeared to be a store specific stock reduction price.
#22
We have one and it's great hope you find one
#23
Not in swansea llansamlet or fforestfach stores :(

Xmas goose chase

Great for OTT mums.......

Turning the TV down and opening the doors a little is free.

They sell you this stuff to make you worry. Seriously, common sense wins out.

What a rediculous naive comment. These types of monitors save lives. FACT. Turning the TV down and opening the door won't help you hear a baby if it stops breathing, because there's nothing to hear!

Heat from me OP. This is a bargain and the mats work great.
#28
Heat. Anyone found any in Other stores? :)
#29
Even if it is a wild goose chase, The product itself is hot from me, as it can help you to save your babies life, at an affordable price. Although we have been having babies for years without this product, so unless there is some good statiscal proof to show this saves babies lives I won't be purchasing. With a big caveat being if we have a baby born 3 plus weeks early.

I wonder if you can get them from Angelcare direct as whilst this is free you have to pay a mininum of £5.95 delivery.
As someone said as long as common sense is used theyre perfectly safe.

or for parents who have a sick child and find it almost impossible to sleep at night without jumping every second to check on their child! My friend's child has breathing problems & often stops breathing whether awake or asleep. This helps to know she's safe when they try to get their much needed sleep as does my sound & video monitor when I had to learn to leave my 23mo to sleep without me being in the room after being a sick child from birth

Best baby gadget by far this. Awesome deal.

We had this for several months, works really well and really gave peace of mind, however we did decide to change it for the non WiFi version (the version with no sound monitor) as we didn't want our little one being blasted with WiFi radiation at close proximity for hours while he slept.

Heated as great price if this is for you

And how would turning the TV down and opening the door alert you to the fact your baby has stopped breathing?

Not to mention you could be sleeping and miss them in distress without the monitor......

Or you could be further away in your house so simply opening a door wouldn't help - there could be tons or reasons why this is a great idea.
