hot from me, this is a must have item, pretty sure this saved my baby's life, the alarm went off, went up the stairs to find his comforter over his face. Not only that but you dont worry when baby sleeps in longer than expected
Definitely gives you piece of mind.Used one of these with our first born and it just made things a lot easier knowing that an alarm would set off if anything went wrong.Bought a cheaper model from Argos for our second child and it would not set off sometimes even when we took our child out of the cot with it still on.Worth the extra money and will have you feeling more at ease when you're down stairs or in bed.
Great for making paranoid parents even more paranoid.
Great for all the paranoid parents out there... My two survived without one of these and I'm pretty sure all the members of HUKD did too!!
This was a godsend for us, our daughter would often choke and stop breathing due to a combination of a severe form of reflux on top of a stridor which made it worse. It used to alarm regularly when she choked so we could go and help her etc. Was great as an alarm when she was a baby and now she is nearly 2 we use it for the monitor part only really although we havnt turned off the alarm either! just through laziness lol
Better safe than sorry im afraid i disagree with others saying that their children survived as cot death still occurs and its devastating and the mother will always think what if....
I would say do not set the alarm to trigger for the temperature though or that would be going off regularly.

Actually it makes you less paranoid.

so buying something to give you extra piece of mind, makes you more paranoid:? quite the opposite infact. Have you tried the item before making your judgement about it? I buy a decent car seat to give me extra piece of mind, does that make me paranoid too:thinking:

just because your two children survived without it doesnt mean that it is not useful to someone else, perhaps if you knew someone whos baby died from SIDS, or someone with a premmie baby, you may feel differently about an item like this. Hospitals use something similar to this for premmie babies, as they can quite easily 'forget' to breath. Have you never once worried about your baby sleeping in longer than expected? I did but all I had to do was to look at the monitor and I knew she was fine. I used it with all three of my kids and even if this was double the price I would still buy it

excellent buy op it will give you more piece of mind that your baby is ok whilst you sleep, you might have to fiddle with the sensitivity adjuster on it for a while so it doesnt go off for no reason, worth the trouble though
I do not really know if the sensor pad is good for the kid, too much electro smog in my opinion when switched on all the time...
these are great, makes me sleep better at night!
Looks like it has gone back up to £69.99. :x

It has been recommended to me so I'm on the lookout for one, most places £79.99.

Want to find it cheaper than £69.99.

Required for mid-October!
brilliant for my sick child who was born with health difficulties. for all this slagging parents being paranoid, I will assume none of you have had a seriously ill child. this piece if equipment gave me serious piece of mind
