own the hammer drill , use it for diy and its pleasant to use.
I wanted something more reliable than the diy brands but not cost the earth like the Makita, which is in another range and price
the batteries do make many sets expensive

drilling 7mm drill bit in to brick is loud, so if i have to do more that 2 holes I would probably get my wired sds out.

I would not want to be holding that with 125 Nm going through it.
I'm a Panasonic man dude. But the m18 battery platform is great. Loads of scope for body only deals and this kit gets you 2x 4ah batteries so you get the drills for pennies. They will be great for most people's needs anyway. What are you driving in that needs 125nm?

HA,HA LOL, you must have a Makita
u must never used proper makita combi....
Makita DHP481 generates 125Nm of torque which is more than twice powerful than that Milwaukee toy!!!!

What a daft place to put the switch, my Bosch is the same and I can't be doing with it. Why can't they be a trigger switch like on 9" grinders? :{

They do both now
not bad deal . though av switched to milwaukee tools

Lidl, Aldi do the attachment for £7.99 twice a year for oridinary drill .
All good info, but nowt to do with the deal, they're not anywhere near an equivalent to a genuine angled drill and whilst i'd have one for emergencies, ergonomically there's no comparison

How much is a charger?

In the region of £35 by the looks. Make sure you get the LXT-series charger, not the G-Series.

There's plenty of cheap angle adapters for driving, I've got a cheap Erbauer one from Screwfix (think it was about £12?). Its not really the same thing though- they're handy for driving screws, though a bit awkward, but I wouldn't want to try drilling with one (not if I wanted to drill with any degree of accuracy).

Having registered before the end of the promotion, I called them up (after promotion had finished) to ask on the whereabouts of my battery. 'System Issues' meant that my registration would not have gone through automatically. They gladly rectified, and battery received in 3-4 days after that. Definitely give them a call.

Thanks, I have contacted them to chase up.

Would you believe it does not fit the case! Works fine with tools but wont fit either attached to drill or in the corner slots :( Just left it attached to battery charger in middle...

My free tool set will be going on eBay because I already have Halfords Advanced Professional screwdrivers and Allen keys. So £99.96 take away £6 Quidco and assuming I can get £14 on eBay after fees and postage it should work out about £80 which is a bargain for this drill.
When I ordered there was no free toolkit offer. I'm hoping they will send me one as a goodwill gesture though as I could actually do with some of it.
Give them a call before you open the drill.
Just found a response to my earlier email to them....tool kit on way so very impressed by them indeed!

Good result. It looks a decent wee tool kit for a freebie.

screwfix only one 4ah battery £99.99
think 2 x2ah battery is better as you can always have one charged while using the other
That's also a different drill at Screwfix. It's the model below. See links in first post for details.
The spec looks pretty much the same. What am I missing? What is the actual difference.
Did you watch the youtube vid in the link? I think the real difference is in the size/power of the motor as explained in the vid. Being a DIY user I couldn't say if the larger motor will ever be of benefit to me but as I was hoping this drill would replace both my old cordless and corded drills I went for the more powerful option.
Bigger motor=more power usage=less working time?
Maybe thats why the max RPM is lower, to save battery power. I find it strange the the 2 can drill a bigger hole in wood than the V. Also there is no rating on the hammer function in the specs of the 2 but it IS a hammer drill. I just think they're pretty much of a muchness.
Edit: And the chuck on the V looks nicer lol.

I'm pretty confident for my needs I wouldn't have noticed a difference and would probably have bought the light series if there was a saving to be made. That said, seeing as they are both from the current blue series range, if they were both equally capable I would have thought Bosch would do away with the Dynamic series altogether, rebadge the light series and up the RRP to Dynamic Series price.

Mine arrived today, Whia tool kit enclosed, also for confirmation it came with the L boxx, been using it all day building up a fence and putting up shelves in the kitchen, very impressed so far!
I've drilled one single hole so far! I must say it drilled it very nicely but I think it will be a while before I get my hundred quids worth out of it!

a very good grinder. I don't normally like Hitachi tools being a deWalt fan boy but these Hitachi grinders are fantastic value for money.
Damn... Got confused and bought one of these from lego instead... It looked like an angle grinder... It cost more and didn't grind at all :(

how long does the battery last?

A 5.0ah battery will last ages, this doesn't come with a battery, though.

5.0ah battery ages?????
probably someone don't work much with tools,
anyway 16mm steel bar,no more than 30 cuts so around half hour but this is for cordless grinder one of the hardest job.

Well, I use them every day actually. Obviously, it depends what you're doing, and I use 5.0ah batteries in my combi, recipro saw, impact and this angle grinder and find they last a long time.

If I get a battery for it will it have enough charge, and power, to cut through a wheel clamp ?

Asking for a friend

If you want to maximise cutting out of a charge, get some ultra thin slitting discs (they're awesome even if you're not bothered about cordless use btw) 0.8 or 1mm thick. Much cleaner, faster and more accurate cuts, just don't use where the cut might close up or otherwise jam the disc...
If the slide switch on the cordless is anything like the slide switch on the corded makita one, I'd pay the extra for the paddle switch alone...the slide is a sod to operate, particularly with gloves on. I think it's to ensure activation is a deliberate act but I find it really irritating.

my 2 years old makita still works fine. using it almost every working day

Makita is a tradesmen tool Bosch is for the diy guy

I think he meant the 'Professional' (blue) range as opposed to the DiY (green) range. Not exactly cut and dry though - the Bosch trim router walks all over the Makita one, as does the new range of sliding compound mitre saws. However, the Makita drills are ahead in my book.

Also as a note to prospective buyers regarding quality of a tool like this... these makita 10.8 drills are regarded as she If the best, but with confidence. if you need an impact driver etc look at screwfix dewalt deal or eBay the makita package with a drill, impact, radio and torch for £160
Very good deal, ordered one.
Makita have junk and also top quality drills depend on price you will pay.
If it cheaper then £100 check reviews before paying
I've got this drill in white and black and it's great for working on smaller sized items as my bigger drill won't fit in to smaller spaces. I have really given mine abuse over the years and will be buying this as a back up even though it's pink! The 10v is not so powerful so drilling into walls is hard going, but it's perfect for woodworking cannot recommend enough especially at this price heat me from me.
"Junk"

Why? I'm no expert but I've never heard of Makita making "junk" before.

Heat added

Thanks for sharing, I've added the price & retailer to your deals title as it helps people to see your deal better :)

Thanks!

Although I did included name of the supplier and price as per the template .... been on HUKD for a while.
I have this sander and is very good but do prefer the random orbit variety

Go and get some bloody rubbish screws from B&Q, and they gonna rip u off. If you think that advising costumer for buying good quality stuff is for reporting than GOOD LUCK. Reisser is a proper brand, but still not as good as Spax. But I think Spax is too expensive. Back to B&Q -200 screws for £27 and where is the quality?
Lmao u need to relax :{
Where is the deal? Lol

good to know you do that, and drink on the job?

This was my question.

The other time I quoted was of what gave me the idea of the possibility of drinking on the job, sorry if I was unclear
