Contrary to several reports yesterday, "Wii Speak Not Discontinued":

Wii Speak Not Discontinued

Despite a lack of support towards the microphone, Nintendo will still carry it.

Despite news of several retailers no longer carrying the device, Nintendo will still be fulfilling retail orders for the Wii Speak microphone.

Recently, Conduit 2 developer High Voltage Software confirmed that Nintendo told them to not use the peripheral for their online chat features in favor of PDP's Headbanger Headset. It hasn't been confirmed, however, if the title will still support WiiSpeak for those that still use it.

Titles such as Nintendo's Animal Crossing: City Folk and Endless Ocean 2, as well as Capcom's Monster Hunter Tri use Wii Speak. The new headset will not work on past Wii Speak titles.

She will love it too. If she has mates with wii speak, they can chatter without incurring any telephone charges (provided she has broadband already).

Can you explain how this works please. (microphone and broadband) I cant get my head round technology anymore. I have a 10 year old daughter that uses my hairbrush when she sings so this might suit her.

This deal is hot, I reckon stock will be hard to find so I think Gamestation does a decent alternative deal (albeit inferior). Gamestation online does Animal Crossing for £12.99 delivered, preowned, without Wii Speak. I got it yesterday! I've been searching for Animal Crossing at a cheap price at the supermarkets and Game for 6 months or so - but they never had stock .. my local Game was selling this preowned for £24.99 2 days ago. I loved this game on the Gamecube!

Just follow the instructions included in the box. Here's a video that may help:

This game is rubbish compared to the DS one! Maybe it's just me but I sold it pretty much straight after I bought it (when it first came out)

Love this on the DS and the wii. Nintendo are doing another version for the nintendo 3ds next year.

Just be careful though, it's super addictive. I only managed to stop because I had to go on holiday and I haven't dared go back on it since because I had a lovely perfect town with golden roses and everything. AND I didn't hack, I put all the work in myself. I did put all my hybrids in my house before going on holiday though, didn't want to waste all that effort.

I'm a 17 year old male.
I love this game; it's so quirky and addictive.
Although I'd recommend the DS version over the Wii version. This game is all about portability; not really suited to the big screen imo. Still well worth £15.

So glad I waited - managed to pick one up today at Morrisons for bargain price!!! Happy families this Christmas x

I managed to 'get' one today(been meaning to go to morrison since seeing this), problem was turned out the lady just put the wii speak and no game into the box(last box so no sealed copy).

went back and they couldn't find the game in the draw, the lady said she thought everything was there as there was a rubberband around it when she it took out and it looked like they'ed sold the game on it's own as they couldn't find it.

I don't have any friends or family with animal crossing and wii speak so wouldn't have made use of the wii speak, but it's prob cheapest for the game new and not pre-owned.

I have the gamecube version but got it from america so can't play it on the wii.

I have compleated mine as far as it could poss go ....3 times now .... each time i have compleated it you get so far, have thousands of savings and then it will crash. had enough now and havent played it for months as i cant be bothered to start it for a forth time !!!!!

Ohhhhh. i didnt know this, been playing the ds one since may 2009!, and its addictive.

Wonder if we need to create new people, or there will be a option to transfer the person over?

Will look out for it, thanks for info :3
