Hi-def sound, what a bunch of bullcrap (I'm not saying they're bad but if there is such a thing as 'hi def' sound, it's not going over bluetooth).

Could I wirelessly connect this to my Sony 4K TV somehow so I can have a speaker in in the bathroom that plays whatever audio is coming out of my TiVo box and into the TV?

That way I'd still be able to get TV news or radio audio from the TV in the bathroom when I shower in the morning. I haven't got any power sockets in the bathroom, so I'm thinking something like this could be cool.

In terms of animal skulls, what are they most closely related to in volume. The Spectral Bat? The Guianan Cock-of-the-rock? or the often revered Velvet Worm?

Many thanks

If you've got a current generation HTC you'd do better going for a HTC Boombass that uses the built in speakers for the treble and a cute bass speaker for the bottom end. Currently going for just over 20 quid on eBay and Amazon down from 80

What do you want for £14

I bought a black aves crystal bluetooth off ebay recently and it equally a cool speaker with amazing sound and had on the deck on a ship every day for hours and hours of spot on use so it is possible to get a good buy out there

Why not just buy a water proof DAB radio?

I've been thinking about getting a DAB radio, but then I saw this and saw bluetooth and wireless and the idea of getting a battery operated speaker like this could be nice if there's a way to do it. Plus it's just so tiny!

I think it would be cool to output the audio from my TV to a small speaker in the bathroom, so it'll play seamlessly whatever I was watching/listening to before I move from one room to the other. As it's an en suite the audio stream in each room would clash if I had something separate playing on a dedicated radio, so I'd like the same audio track playing in the bathroom as what's on the TV. If I want to listen to the radio I usually tune into the relevant station on my TiVo box and play it through my TV speakers.

Just have a look on Amazon for a decent Bluetooth transmitter with audio inputs.
Be aware though that the signal generated by any Bluetooth device has a limited range and can deteriorate alot when passing through solid walls

Looks like a lot can run off the USB on your TV so no wires or extra plugs required.

I think your sony tv would have to have blu tooth installed to make that work... As these are paired and linked to blu tooth devices.
Unless i am missing something.?

Hmm, the field mouse's genitalia is surprisingly stout considering its modest stature, I shall have to rethink my plans :{

Yeah, will have a look. I've just measured it and it's 5m from the back of the TV to the shower, with just a hallow wooden door to the bathroom. Hopefully should be okay.

Glancing at the images on that link, most of them use the headphone jack. According to the vid I posted in my previous post I need to use the external speaker outputs so it doesn't deactivate the TV speakers. So I'll need to use the optical out, get a digital to analogue converter and hook that up to a BT transitter using a sterio audio cable.

Those reviews look very dodgy. I clicked on a couple of them to see there other reviews, lots of 5 stars for other Anker products. I guess you could call them a bunch of 'anker reviewers.

Wouldn't matter too much though will it ? As you'll be in the shower :)
Could always unplug it when you're out the shower.

The reviews are a bit dodgy, however it does look like this is the little bro to the No. 3 best selling product portable speaker category, which has lots of good reviews.

lol, True, except for the fact that I'd have to plug in and unplug the 3.5mm cable to the back of the TV every morning when I want to use it. Ideally I'd like to leave it plugged in to one of the other external audio outputs and left on all the time so the only thing to switch on and off would be the speaker in the bathroom.

Playing with electric gadgets while reaching around behind the TV while potentially dripping from the shower isn't a great idea oO

True, just the optical DAC seems overkill (almost offensive to the optical audios capabilities :p) for transmitting to a small bluetooth speakers.
Could try one of these coupled to the transmitter, http://i.imgur.com/iygxFmH.gif.
Would be worth checking your outputs, not all TVs have optical or analog audio outputs.

Are you trying to say this little £15 speaker isn't good enough to be fed fresh optical audio goodness straight from the source before it gets wirelessly transmitted through the air by a cheap Chinese transmitter, before then bouncing around my highly over engineered bathroom acoustics, through the splish-splash of my shower and finally into my waxy ears? :(

After checking the specs and look at it, it's just the headphone jack and the optical out that I have to available.

I want to buy a few bluetooth speakers to dot around the house and allow my phone to connect / disconnect as I move around (potentially connecting to multiple speakers at the same time if they're within range) - does anyone know if I could do this ok please??
