I don't know how good their products are but they seem to have an odd marketing strategy of employing people to shout their brand name at me from moving cars.

This Anker sale is a bit of a scam. Use camel camel camel and see the price history of the items. They inflated them massively before the sale and in fact all items I checked have been available cheaper (sometimes considerably) prior to this big 5th anniversary sale.

And of course I'm aware this may well be the cheapest they are currently. Just pointing out the sale is a bit of a farce

Have one of these - brilliant little speaker that just keeps going!

It's listed on their 25th anniversary sale. Check more items as well. Sale is only for one day

Most of the review says that it lacks Bass... Can't expect more at this price....

Great speaker, we use it in the kitchen and it is great for Spotify and easily loud enough and the battery last aaaaaaages.

would this be any good with a dot?

Great speakers

I know this supposedly lacks bass - of course I don't expect it to shatter any windows - but does it at least have a fairly 'warm' and involving sound, as opposed to listening to a song through a baked bean tin?

The sound is quite warm, not tinny at all.

Also use this in the kitchen and have no complaints. Battery life has been great too.

Voted hot solely based on the 24h battery life alone. I have a JBL Flip 3, which costed over twice as much 2 weeks ago (From Saitnsburys online with a 1st time user £18 discount code on over £50 online spent) and battery in mine is just 10 hours.

Maybe better off with A3134 in lightning sale at the moment . Fantastic sound for the price

I have the very small (not smallest) one which lasts 20 hours. It does lack bass but the clarity and volume is amazing for the size. I expect this is quite a bit better again

I also recommend the A3134, I've got it and the bass is a lot better and it performs as well as much more expensive speakers.
Unfortunately a few (including mine) have been having battery issues.

The tesco outlet £15 one on here is really good too.

Bought two last week, and the sound is surprisingly good.
#19
Sadly the "buy 1 get x% off qualifying product" doesn't seem to work on top of this deal, but ordered anyways. Tempted by the A3134 but the battery just isn't as good

Edit: the discount did apply when I retried

It's funny how our expectations have changed , I recently donated some top end HIFI speakers and listen to most of my music on something similar to this. You might consider stretching to the next model up my sister has that one , emulate the 1980s ghetto blaster very well

I don't have an issue with this post, but I thought Anker and their products were banned from HUKD... has this changed?

Does this have aux to pair up with a chrome cast audio? Also, when not in use does it stay on, or make a light humming noise?

I've got a speaker which if you leave switched on makes a light humming noise which can be annoying in the evening. Looking for something that stays on, connected to the Chrome cast but does not make a noise if nothing playing

I have one of these permanently powered and connected to Chromecast Audio (yes it has 3.5mm in).
(I've got 3 actually bedroom, kitchen and living room)

Initially I powered both the speaker and the Chromecast from an Anker 6 port USB power adapter and was annoyed that there was a slight hum. I changed the power source of the Chromecast to use it's own mains adapter plug and the hum stopped.

Great little speaker when paired with Chromecast, multiple of them give you sync'd multi-room audio I wouldn't say it lacked bass (for it's size) and it is considerably better than another one I paid 20quid for : I bought the other speaker first, set it up in kitchen, bought the Anker on sale and set up in living room - the difference walking between the rooms with Chromecast playing the same track using sync'd audio was noticeable.

does the anker have if its own on/off switch? ive got a cheap speaker tbh and it has a on/ff switch. its usb powered and can be charged up. but when I switch the speaker on, it gives a light hum which I don't like. I use the mains power source from the CC but clearly its the speaker itself which is the issue in the hum noise of the speaker and nowt to do with the CC. Tempted by this now.

another Q,sorry, does the anker speaker have a light to denote wether its on/off? current speaker has a blue light which again is annoying as its bad enough in the light let alone the dark.

Why would they be banned??
because they're not signed up to the affiliate program with HUKD.

Why not look at the picture of the item? It shows a distinct blue light in the top middle of the front.

Also why should Anker be banned because it's not part of an affiliate program? That's like saying you can't get a job because it's closed shop and you aren't in a union.

Aukey are banned, Anker are not.

6w?.....okay if you are are a back seat bus dwelling hoodie wearing street urchin.....also most of the reviews are probably from people who received the item free or at a discount......also as pointed out always check out camelcamelcamel.......also a bit more expensive, but I have the Creative Roar and August ws300 and both are brill.....I would save up and get something better.....the Philips BR1X is also superb value for money.....about 40quid on amazon.....cheap bluetooth speaker are two a penny nowadays......TDK A26 speaker in white is 20 quid on ebay too......
#33
that's alot of also's..... ;)

For those comments about the low bass, Spotify uses a equaliser so just use bass booster and bang, you’ve got the perfect speaker for £20
#36
Hmmmmm very tempting. Really want this one though:

Yeah prob a better speaker but it's nearly 20 quid more and not on offer. Was same price 37.49 when I checked 2 months ago.

I bought this on one of the various Amazon sales for about £23 I think. As it's been mentioned, it's what you expect for around this price but I've been really impressed with it. It's cheap enough not to worry about too much, and still produces a great sound imo - The battery life is also fantastic so worth it for that also. Would defo buy this again.

Is this Soundbot SB571 Bluetooth Speaker (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00MITLPX2/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_img?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2Q03B56K0DJRD&coliid=I1MO5P6PECM5YP) for £16 a better option.
Looking for one for my Grandson. ?? Thanks To OP
