Does this really need a description after all the posts for Plays and Expansys deals?
This one that is (allegedly) in stock is slightly more at (£84.98) including delivery, but if its in stock for less than a fiver more i believe its worth it! Just ordered and received my confirmation so fingers crossed! This is a web exclusive so not available in their stores. Now cancelled my Expansys order (which is very easy to do no hassle at all, i was only on the phone about 30 seconds in all!

Are these not the same people as the makro cash and carry group? They are registered at the same address?
Can anyone confirm if they are reliable?

Also if anyone else orders can they let us know if they get a "dispatched" confirmation? Thanks! Mine just says not yet posted at the minute.

Sorry to upset you all, but "in stock" with this retailer is not the case. I ordered one days ago, and they said they would DEFINITELY have it with my by Tuesday, then they called up and said it would be Thursday (tomorrow). Now today, they've told me it isn't in stock at all, and that it won't be dispatched until Thursday 2nd August because they had been "delayed by customs". I have no reason to believe that (2nd) will be the case of course!

I don't know what it is about all these retailers showing stock on their websites, then taking the money off your card, then telling you they don't have any stock afterall! I thought the Distance Selling regulations stops retailers from charging your card until it has actually been despatched. Handtec did this to me last week and then cried off on Friday saying (get this) that their supplier's warehouse had been flooded due to the bad weather and that this had delayed their delivery.

What a pile of pap. Doesn't look I'll be getting one of these at this price any time soon. It may sound bitter (and well maybe it is!), but thanks to all those who were on here bragging about buying 5 and 10 units at a time to sell on eBay. Kind of goes against the whole community spirit of an online forum, hmm?

Again, we apologise to jabyuk and to any other customers and prospective customers. Our company released this message to customers who have already placed orders with us and were expecting delivery tomorrrow:

"Thank you for your order for a Nokia 770 Internet Tablet. We appreciate your business and would like you to know that your order means a lot to us.

It is with regret that we cannot fulfil delivery of this order by the promised date. We intended on dispatching this item to reach you by Thursday, 26th July 2007. Problems beyond our control could not have been foreseen and our shipment from our supplier has been delayed by Customs. We only expect to be able to deliver this to you on Thursday, 2nd August 2007.

We have received a lot of interest in this product and are aware that interest mostly arose from earlier delivery to that of our competitors. We assure you, however, that we will be able to ship your orders just as soon as our competitors and that there is no way to receive your orders any sooner.

We sincerely apologise for the delay and hope that you understand that our intentions are to provide the quickest possible service at a competitive price.

We would appreciate your patience in this matter but if you would like to be refunded, please respond to this email notifying us of your decision and your card will be immediately refunded.

Thank you for shopping with us and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Yours Faithfully,

Well, it's very decent of you to respond on this thread here, makroshop. I must say, your company has been very good at keeping me abreast of problems with the order as they have cropped up.

I'm just very frustrated since this is the third order I have placed with different retailers. I appreciate this is an issue with suppliers, and that this doesn't necessarily bear any reflection on individual retailers. Well, apart from those who pull the wool over customers eyes by listing items "in stock" when they actually aren't!
