The Essentially Cool and Quiet Case
Impressively spacious and unbeatably reliable, the Antec Three Hundred is an unbeatable enclosure. The Three
Hundred has enough room for an NVIDIA 8800 series graphics card, as well as six hard drives and a standardATX
motherboard. A cable management compartment keeps your system organized and the airflow unobstructed. A
120mm rear fan and 140mm top fan ensure that the case runs cool even when playing the most demanding games,
while the sleek black finish gives it an extra stylish edge.

• No Power Supply included: To optimize performance of your Three Hundred, your choice of power supply is crucial. Antec strongly recommends choosing from our NeoPower or TruePower series.

• 9 Drive Bays: External 3 x 5.25"; Internal 6 x 3.5" for HDD

• Cooling System:
- 1 rear 120 x 25 mm TriCool™ Fan with 3-speed switch control.
- 1 top special 140 x 25 mm TriCool™ Fan with 3-speed switch control
- 2 front (optional) 120 mm fans to cool the hard drives
- 1 side (Optional) 120 x 25 mm Fan to cool graphic cards

• Washable air filters reduces dust build up in your system, which helps keep your system cooler

My custom build PC from op3 is in one of these, its very quite but very large.
Mine has two drives and a card reader fitted so the three grills are not fitted as shown.

Scan are hopeless, I wouldn't bother if I were you.
#4
never had a problem with Scan either.
#5
Ordered loads from Scan, always comes next day (free of charge) and no problems at all - great prices too!!
#6
Well, you are lucky then, I have found them completely useless, got them to delete my account as I wouldn't deal with such a useless company again.

Scans delivery is shocking on my last delivery they came 7 mins before the allocated delivery time!!! :)

if you're looking for a good value medium duty psu for this check my recent thread here
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/antec-earthwatts-green-ea-380d-psu-power-supply-35-80-delivered-cbc/900625
so total price £75 for a great case+psu

(half the price of the neo/true range mentioned above and perfectly adequate for most)
if you're going to fill all those drive bays check your wattage though, may need something bigger!

"spacious and unbeatably reliable" - what does this bit of BS mean? I've never had an unreliable case - I mean they just sit there, don't they?

Nice isn't it. Or do you prefer one with lights and go faster stripes?

These cases are ok, and this is the cheapest I've seen it for a while, but having just put a system together using a CM dominator II lite there's no camparison in terms of the features and overall quality of finish. Scan often have the dominators on similar offer, got one for under £45 a while ago. The cable management is much better on the CMs as you can feed everything through cutouts in the main tray and hide it all in the gap behind.

One thing worth mentioning if you are going to get the 300 - because of the psu bottom mounting you'll be struggling to stretch the 12v 4/8 pin cable if, as with most motherboards, the connector is placed at the top, so worth buying an extension cable with the order.
#12
I have one of these and whoever designed the reset button should be taken out and neutered. Need a ball pen to be able to use it. Also beware sharp edges and when you take of the sides, label them as most confusing to get back in place.. Otherwise great case at the price.

I agree. I have two of these cases - One has a Corsair PSU fitted and the another a BeQuiet both are OK but you will most possibly need a extension with an el-cheepo PSU.

New ones are not as well made as older ones - but i still like them

Well what do you expect for free postage! :D

I like the way that you get an email in the morning giving a 1 hour time slot when DPD will deliver; no other company that I deal with gives me that.
I’ve found DPD to be very good at being in that zone as well.

There was a hiccup with today’s order as I got an email yesterday about 18:00 saying it had shipped and then another after 21:00 saying that there was a delay!
There was no update this morning giving me a time slot so I figured it was definitely delayed. I was out this morning so didn’t rush back just in case DPD came earlier than usual and was surprised when the doorbell rang in their usual time slot to find the DPD driver.
I nearly paid £10 more to get Ebuyer to deliver on a Saturday before I went out this morning so was really glad that I hadn’t.

I hope you are joking.

I think it is an excellent feature to avoid accidental resets- and I would look for such a feature in future cases too.

Word of advice- I fitted 5950 card in the case and had to trim part to make it fit. Although the card is a monster as most who own it will know.

i have the coolermaster scout, i like the window for one reason. to see how many more things i can cram in without the side coming off. :-)

Had one of these cases for a few years now, excellent build for the price i think £38 when first released.

:)

This is a great budget case on the whole and this is about the price I paid for it 2 years ago+. The included fans are very audible on medium/high, but this is fine as on low they are pretty silent, providing more than enough airflow to keep 99% of setups cool. Dust does accumulate very quickly on all the grilles/vents, which will restrict airflow and look dirty/ugly, but this is quickly and easily removed with a hoover/cleaning wipes etc.

He's quite correct.
The reset is RIDICULOUSLY fiddly.
The one bad point in an otherwise excellent case.

Brilliant case, had one for years.

I have 5 case fans in mine and components are kept stupidly cool. The reset button can be a pain though.

one could say if you need to get to it that often then its not the case that has a problem me thinks!!! lol

i had one and its quite spacious, re the post about the psu. its def worth searching for a psu with a longer cable for the motherboard,
#28
Fantastic case, lots of room and lovingly holding my build. Reset button is fine, to avoid accidentl resets. And i mean, who uses the reset button anyway?
#29
This is my case. Its okay but not great. Also the USB ports seem to have died - well some of them have. And its not the mobo either.
#30
Had one of these for years, great understated case for those of us who don't want a load of lit up fans and other such pap - just two tiny blue specks for the power and HD.

RE reset button problems - I've no issues using it here myself when I rarely need to, no need for a pen or even a fingernail - have you lot got massive sausage fingers like Shrek or something?
#31
Well i just built a PC and all the parts came from Scan, had no problems apart from the rude customer service.

I got one of these with my self build pc earlier this year, great case

If you think that Scan customer service is rude, wait until you deal with their RMA department and/or their technicians...
#35
Fantastic case for the price. Seems to be a few Scan bashers on here. Personally I've never had any issues with customer service. I always collect from store and staff are always very busy but friend;y and helpful :{

Well, maybe you don't think so, but I do.
What else would you call a case that has NINE drive bays?
My last case only had 4 bays, but was half the size & weight of this case. :)

Re the reset button - I've no issues using it either, but then I've only needed to use it once.
It is small but you couldn't press it by mistake.

Sure you'd struggle to find a supplier where a few people havent had issues, scan have always been fine for me.
#39
Have never used Scan so I can't comment on them but the people with complaints are probably the vocal minority, ie if people are happy with something they don't say so unless asked, if something goes wrong they bitch and moan about it.
