seems a great price for a modular psu that has 4 pci-e connectors (2 6 pin and 2 6+2 pin) for xfire / sli. its powerful enough for most setups and gets good reviews.

Excellent quality PSU, one of the best, if not the best, in its class and a steal at that price.
#2
Great price for a gold certified modular PSU at a meium wattage level. Hot from me

Exceptional quality Seasonic built semi-modular power supply, this is a billy bargain even if you don't get the free Scan shipping.

Review Here:- http://www.kitguru.net/components/power-supplies/zardon/antec-truepower-new-650w-review/

Excellent find. To get a quality brand modular unit at less than 9p per Watt is hot.

Great price for a gold certified modular PSU at a meium wattage level.

It's bronze certified but not many are gold at this wattage except some Seasonic and maybe a few others.
I chuckle at the idea of 650W being a medium level P/S as you can do a lot with that.

Just bought this monitor for my new gaming build. Very quiet, and so far so good.

Oh, bloody hell! Just bought this over the weekend from there when it was £64! >:-(

Hmm, you might be a little disappointed as this only displays a rotating fan...

thanks for the positive comments and the hot votes. i'm tempted to buy one myself now, to upgrade from my 500w silverstone just in case i need it.

I really need to replace mine

I have a Akasa 460 Watt PaxPower and its at its limits i suspect

Q6600 @ 3.6 Ghz
8Gig Ram
8800GT
Blu-ray
DVD-RW
3 Samsung F1

I want to get a 4th F1 for better raid performance
but worried that the psu will explode

If i replace it im not sure if its best to just go straight to 850 or more or just get something like this

I paid £65 from Ebuyer a week ago too, lol. Oh well, at least we didn't pay the £80+ that it was everywhere not long ago.

It is a great PSU and for £58 it is HOT.

Any one know if Scan can refund the difference, like Amazon do (or used to?)?

tbh 850w is overkill unless you're planning on running xfire / sli high-end gfx cards.

the 650w should be "future-proof" as components are becoming more energy efficient.

I doubt it very much (especially as it is a "today only"), but you could always ask em.

They have done this for me before if they haven't shipped the item yet...I have always found CS at Scan fantastic.

As soon as I clicked on this deal link, I had a knock on the door. Guess who...yup, the **** delivery guy with my scan package.

Then I hung around and lost £1.50 on the play.com coolermaster 212 HSF deal too.

You've still got a bargain though, although I did manage to get the PSU for 58 and cooler for 13.50, so my new year build is shaping up quite nicely, just waiting for sandybridge CPU's to be released, and will either pick up one of those or the i5 760 if the price drops close to £100.

Me too! I spent too much time reading reviews.

However, better performance and still cheaper than the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 I was going to buy.
#24
Forgive me if this is a silly question, but how do I get it at this price? I can see it for £57.56 on the 'today only' deals page but if I click it, the product page shows £69.97.

This looks like a cracking deal, I've got another order with Scan for a different power supply but they're waiting on stock, so if I can replace it with this I'd be very happy!
#25
Ah, it was a silly question; just click the 'buy' link and don't go to the product page.

I've contacted customer support to get them to replace my order with this, hopefully I'll get the £8 difference back too, if not though this is still a good deal!

They have a customer service department forum if you go via hexus.net ... whether you get any more joy out of them on that is pretty debatable though - but worth keeping in mind if you need to show some public angst.;)

Yeah, I'm also making a new build in January. i7 2600K, Sabretooth P67 etc :D

I'm undecided on the case as the Antec 300 & Antec 902 are ugly IMHO.

It's better to do your research beforehand, that way when a deal comes your way, you can snap it up straight away.

I've just picked up the CM 690 II Lite from Scan for 46.99, it's an excellent case that gets rave reviews, you can't go wrong at that price, especially if you can get the free postage from Scan.

Yep decent enough case (I have the un-lite version) doesn't look that big but plenty of room to work with inside and certainly looks the part. I personally find the tooless 3.5" drive bays a bit of work and the side panels are a bit tricky to slot off and on as well - certainly doesn't slot together as easy as my Coolermaster Cosmos which is poetry in motion.

I ordered my PSU and case on Sunday. It was processed on 6/12.

I noticed the price drop today so I emailed them this morning. Had no reply so I phoned them this afternoon - Getting a refund of £12!!

I did mention in the email that I am going to order a new systemboard and CPU in Jan 2011.

Yep, I read lots of reviews of the CM 690 II and checked out YouTube videos of it and it fits my needs perfectly. I purchased it earlier from Scan and have the free lifetime delivery from them :D

I got v1 for £25 from currys a while ago - it's very nice.

Received the PSU today, getting case tommorow hopefully. PSU looks very nice and it being modular is a big plus point!
