Saw this at the cinema and thought it was rubbish, especially not worthy of paying money for anyway.

I wouldn't buy it on DVD as generally DVD's are bought to watch something more than once. Once was enough for me and i personally thought it was only good enough to be shown as a documentary on the TV.

No doubt the 2 people above and others who have voted this hot will disagree but thats my opinion :whistling:

I just don't care about it because I don't buy into the whole sob-story "we never made it" thing. Not only have they been able to make albums at least every couple of years, they suck, and that's why they haven't "made it".

Although they haven't starved, or become homeless, so they clearly have been able to make enough money to make a living as a metal musician, so they should count themselves lucky and stop crying about it.

Of course, now this film has been successful suddenly everyone wants to jump on the bandwagon and book them for tours and festivals; pop-culture *****s. They haven't become a better band because of this film, they're still rubbish.

Superb film,well worth £4.Top find !

The thing is they weren't bitter. It was the wives, girlfriends and other more famous musicians who seemed to moan about them not making it.

They just carried on doing their thing and remained really enthusiastic at any chance they got to play a gig, even if it was to around 50 people!

Erm, a large part of the film is showing you how they made zero money from the band and how they had to work s#itty degrading jobs to support their families. Any tours they did or albums they released were self funded. This is true for many bands. The thing that makes this bands story interesting is the fact they used to have fame then lost it. That and watching how Lips and Robb deal with each other and life in general is priceless, lol. I thought they were 2 really nice, genuine people and it was a good story.

I'm sure they're doing alright for themselves now though. And they're actually a really good band to see live ;-).

Great film.

If anyone wants a similar movie to watch, I can thoroughly recommend New York Doll: The Story of Arthur 'Killer' Kane.
