I was just on Gorleston high street and there is a sign in the window of Subway that any footlong sub is only £4 after 4pm, it looked like the offer was every day of the week and I didn't see any caveat so it may even include their seasonal promo sub. This may be available at other Subways but isn't on their website as far as I can see.

The meal deal is normally £3 for six inch or £5 for footlong and restricted to only certain subs. This was for any sub on the menu.

Subway is normally open until late at night, I would say 4pm would still be fresh, unless that branch is open until only 5pm or something. Let me check... open until 8pm-10pm depending on the day. If it is leftovers at 4pm, I would hate to go in after 6pm for one.

if only this deal was national and on a daily

It might be on at other stores, but like the meal deal might be open to each franchise if they want to offer it. This is a fairly recent offer for this Subway as I didn't notice the sign last time I passed it.

Most have footlongs plus a drink for a fiver...

Got turkey breast and ham, with a cappuccino a fiver earlier today.

Each store does offer different ones though

They put a lid on all the tubs and put them in the fridge for the next day so anytime of day could be yesterday's left overs...

How can this be voted hot when there's only one shop in the entire country that sells it?

Look at some of the store specific Tesco deals, or even some of the deals that are clearly local yet the OP even says "I got the last one" or "there are only two left in store" that go super hot. This isn't as strong a deal I admit, not as huge of a discount, but it is open to anyone in the area, stock wont be an issue and it was posted as a local deal, would you rather not see any local deals posted, even if they are in your area?

I'd rather not see any, or have a separate section. Far too many deals are useless for the vast majority.

Not seeing any is difficult, if local deals were banned for instance. How would someone know if they saw a deal in a local store if it was local or national? Would local deals still be listed but as national or would national deals go unlisted as a result? Also, would stores such as Robert Dyas be considered local as they are not nationwide? Or are we then restricting to only online deals with home delivery? Then a lot of great in store only deals wouldn't get posted. I can't see any of that working.

Generally I would agree with a separate section, the only problem with that is if something was listed as a local deal and turned out to be national. A lot of people would miss it then. Also how would local work? Would you have to put the postcode of the store in and have your own postcode and radius set for local deals on the site? I am sure a lot of people would find that just as problematic as the current setup is for some.

Ultimately the only way to get what you are after is to make your own site that you control, good luck.
