clearly states it was £6.79 two weeks ago

anyway, its a crap device cos all it does is take loads off your knives. Ok for a cheapo set I suppose.

I think csiman and I will have to agree to differ on this one, I find that although it does seem to take quite a bit off the blade it does give it a keen long lasting edge - particularly on my Globals.

One thought about it though, I wouldn't say it was one handed use, I have yet to find a surface the suction is strong enough for that on.

Like the product, like the price, heat added.

its given a whole new life to my knives they were so blunt now they all cut X)

Better to sharpen by hand, these things take a lot of metal off and dont do right up to the hilt so you end up with wider blade at the hilt.

I bought a £250 set of Global knives. Worst knives I've ever had with even worse customer service. 2 of the knives handles snapped off and Global didn't want to know. They said it must be my fault and when I tried to take it further, they stopped responding to my e-mails. They had no phone number in UK to call either. Disgusting company :(

Good product and the suction thingy works fine in our work top.

Agree thats it's worth getting a better sharpner or globals though.

Thus sharpner tKws pretty big chunks out of your knives and I your my careful can leave ridges on them. Great for an every day knive set

For me if you have globals get the ceramic wheel sharpner. Mine was 50 quid but gives a perfect edge
#14
Been after a new shrpener we lost one when we moved!!
#15
I reiterate what others are saying. This works fine for me on cheap knives but it does take a lot of metal off and can sometimes leave ridges on the blade (depending on the quality of the metal).

I wouldn't take quality knives anywhere near it but it has extended the life of my cheap knives.

The suction works fine for me on my worktop, no need for two handed use.

the ammount of metal that comes off with this sharpener is unreal, I have equated that you should be only be left with a handle after 14.6 uses :)

Damn - paid £9.41 for this last week.

I have had one of these for a couple of years. So easy to use and produces a really sharp edge which I have learnt to my cost .

my posting was removed once .....it transpired that someone who posted this previous deal ( no names mentioned)......changed his price then had mine expired....I pointed this out to the mods who kindly reposted my deal...so there....;)

Fair enough, thanks for clarifying the situation.

No worries, i'm still a little confused at to how the previous thread's OP changed the price when it's currently showing he was last active two days ago, but i won't pretend to understand all the ins and outs of this site.

Given the amount you spent and their attitude you should take the retailer to small claims. It is very easy to do online. Who was the retailer?

Whilst i'd generally agree with the sentiments, according to the rules of the site that you are currently using, yes it does apparently matter, and enough so for them to write specifically about deals not being re-posted in a short time frame (4 weeks).

The point of those questioning about the validity of this deal being re-posted was not to **** on someone's tomatoes but simply to question, and clarify, which posting rules are being enforced for future reference.

Rules are rules. If you dont like it; dont use the site
[mod]#40
So for example if i see a game which is 5p cheaper and was posted 2 weeks ago i can post a new deal ? LOL.
This site would be flooded with pointless deals.
