Keep reminding people when I see this please don't use this on 'Global' knives or any Japanese knife. It'll ruin them!

Great price for a kitchen must have.

Your Bear Grylls Gerber will love it.

Great thanks just ordered 2 :)

It'll ruin any knife, but they will be sharp for the five minutes before they're 'sharpened' down to nothing.

Remember this grinds the metal rather than realignment of the molecules it will actually remove part of the knife so don't use it too often

I've been using one of these regularly on a Prestige Sabatier for six years now and there's no discernible change in the size of the blade.

I would thoroughly recommend this sharpener. Don't be put off by stories of blades slowly disappearing. It does shave metal off, but not to a degree that's even worth considering.

(May not be the best for Global knives or similar though.)

Wouldn't put my knives near one of these. Get a simple rotary ceramic sharpener. Takes 60 seconds and it respects the blade.
