Know it's said every time these appear but please don't use on quality knives especially Japanese (global). The angle at which there sharpened is different. You'll ruin them

Cheers for the heads up, what about Swiss made knives ?

This will sharpen almost any knife but it can and does remove metal from the blade, so its NOT suitable for
Really good quality knives.

If they were expensive no. The sharpening angle will be right but they remove a lot of metal. If they were cheap go for it it'll get them sharp

3000/ 8000 grit whetstone about 12 from ebay and if you are not cofident buya sharpening guide that fits on the back of the knife so you maintain the correct angle. simple to use soak th stone in water, sharpen with the guide fitted and leave the fine steel particle on the stone as the y will help next time. i got mine and now see how i wasted a lot of money on cheaper sharpeners. oh and get a knife steel for in between sharpenings.
