Very well reviewed American Fridge Freezer. High storage capacity for the price. No water/ice dispenser but you do get more storage space in return. In addition, there is a twist ice box to provide an easy way of making ice cubes.

£399 by using voucher code 'DECEMBER30'. Delivery from free.

EDIT: the initial deal was at £369. However it appears that the price has since been increased. Previous price was £499.

2.62% Topcashback

Installation would be extra from £3.99 to unpack to £24.99 for full installation and demo.

When I looked yesterday it was £399, so I ended up buying from Currys as a similar spec of fridge was also £399, but came with a two year warranty instead of 1 year with this one.

Certainly a viable alternative. Seems a little bit noisier (according to the specs on the Haier website (it only features on the South African one) and doesn't have an ice-box, but does have a stainless steel look finish.

The other thing that swayed me toward the Fridgemaster are the reviews for Haier fridge freezers - which seem to be more mixed.

We bought this a few months ago for £500 (which is still good for a side by side) no problems as of yet brilliant product with ample space. If you in the market for a budget American style you won't find better than this

We bought one in their black friday deal for £399. It's a great fridge for the price, quiet and loads of space, particularly in the fridge, freezer is slightly smaller. Delivery from AO was good, but you will get a sales call selling their insurance. Fab price :).

Someone who is waxing lyrical about this fridge - literally!

Caution - risk of earworms.

As well as a more serious review - not sure the lady in question isn't being paid for it though :)

Great value and nice sleek design.Payed nearly double this price for gloss black Samsung, the devil to keep surface smear free, this seems a lot more practical.
All the better for no ice maker takes far to much space and complicates installation and upkeep.

Hi, could you kindly advice would it be ease for the fridge to go through normal door width? Do they just leave the fridge with all the package. Could you exam the fridge before the delivery men went away?

Thanks

It was a very tight fit, but we got it in eventually. The guys levelled it and took away all packaging. Gotta wait another hour before I can switch it on :)

Everything American is over-sized.

I would seriously discourage anyone from using AO. I ordered a fridge freezer wed last week to come thur. thur night no delivery. no call from driver. No delivery next day. complained. Next day the put wrong fridge on the van. No delivery. Sunday = no Item loaded at all! Eventually got fridge freezer mon. Measurements on website were wrong and I had to take off a cupboard to fit it!! shocking customer service with people lying and then no call backs. Would never use again

Sorry to hear you're having such a bad experience. General AO feedback seems to be pretty good across a range of sources, inc. Which who have them as joint no. 1 in customer service.

We bought this on Black Friday for £399. Nice fridge freezer, very large. The lights are very bright (seperate light on both fridge and freezer) and none of the water dispensing things to take up space. A bit louder than our last fridge, but nothing bad. It runs hard after the door has been opened.

We paid ao.com the £2.99 to take the packaging away, and the delivery was excellent. They had two massive lifting ropes (one was a woman) and hoisted it in. Went through a standard door no problem. The couriers were self-employed, and were spot on.

How much did you pay ?
Coming up as £429.00 minus discount £399

They always price match on all products too delivery charges included, and they supply many other big retailers aiming to be the largest in Europe - Boots (domestic appliances), Next (Domestic appliances) and many others like House of Fraiser

What is the true depth of this as they never seem to be accurate or some exclude the handles

I think AO are great. Their delivery service is excellent. I bought a Samsung American-style about 18 months ago, I am still amazed at how they got it into my kitchen, I was expecting to have to remove the doors (Fridge and Kitchen). They will remain my go-to for white goods.

The price seems to have risen to £429. So now £399 including the discount code. That's the price it normally retails at.

I've updated the listing - looks like AO may have some kind of price management algorithm. The £369 price was down as the 'December' price.

I got it for £349 by code stacking. Apart from the badge and no stainless steel if you look closely it doesn't feel cheap and is good compared to ordinary fridges

My parents had, what I'd call, a slightly odd/cheeky experience from them the other week. They had ordered a new washing machine and hadn't bothered to pay for the old one to be removed - the, ahem, travelling gentlemen in our area are red hot on collecting things, they even follow delivery lorries around - AO rang Mum and said, did she realise that she had ordered a top of the range machine (I can only assume that was to flatter her, as it wasn't) and what was wrong with her old machine? She explained that it had an error message everytime she tried to wash above 40 degrees which caused it to stop working. The chap from AO then said, could we take it away then? We won't charge you for the collection fee (generous I'm sure!). My Mother, bless her, is under the impression that they are going to refurbish it and give it to previously homeless people, she even gave them the instructions. I have to wonder how many times they do this with goods they collect and do they usually charge their customers a collection fee as well when they do it?

sorry to bring this back up, but i'm thinking on buying this for £400 from my local shop (only 1 left). is £400 worth it?

I'm probably too late now - but definitely - it looks and feels like a more expensive fridge.
