Saw the offer posted by Millarcat c.1month ago with eBuyer which is now sold out,and subsequently found this offer. I bought the older version about 3 years ago and it is truly fabulous. Am buying this for son as he is off to Uni. Very cheap at the price. Seems only 5 left in stock with 160 on order (whatever that means).

LOL. I thought this when I bought my first AOC. But I did a lot of research when our 10stone trusted Phillips gave up the ghost for the last time and the forums were literally screaming at how good these were and the value they afforded. I struggled with the unbranded nature of the TV and the ONLY thing that let me overcome this is that it didn't have a label at the front, so you couldn't tell what it is! Snobbish I know. However, so many friends have commented on the quality/functions/price. My son actually wanted a Samsung but when I said he could get the upgraded version of our current AOC at nearly £100 less read the full spec and snapped it up. In fact he is happy to have the old one and we will take the new one. I hope the label is not on the front(_;)
Have to agree, I have always tended to go for Branded good for this kind of purchase but I bought an AOC TV from Novatech, could well be this model, and it's got a superb picture.
