It's been this price for a couple of weeks at Play. Good to see games like this being released on the consoles, from the makers of the excellent IL-2 Sturmovik.

Unfortunately, it is a donkey.

For tehfirst couple of hours, I was in awe of flying an apache and then I realised that the graphics were poor, the controls were all over the place and targetting was dire. That was before the amazing enemy aimimg abilities and poor missions explanations.

Sold it :(

I tried the demo and thought the controls were pretty good on the pro setting but v annoying on arcade. Still very very simplified compared to the old Apache Longbow PC sim, but pretty good.

It'll drop further in price though so I'll pick it up sub £15.

You may like! I loved the apache sims since getting one on the old Amstrad CPC 464 and used to spend hours on it. I also remember the Gunship games including the ones where you could fly a variety of helicopters. As a result, I was really disappointed in this as the older games had loads more playability and soul.

I agree with Lotus that the pro controls are supposed to be better, but after going through arcade as a primer, it puts you off so much that you have no real inclination to play it.

Multiplayer was poor too. Maybe I had visions of team work and cooperation but these fell at the first hurdle

Remember playing Gunship 2000 for hours on end.

That was the one where you could fly the Blackhawk, Kiowa and others wasn't it? I loved that game...
