Not basmati i suppose?
Anyone know what rice it is and how long the grains are?
#4
Curious question, what is the difference between basmati and easy cook rice?

Easy cook taste taste plasticky and unnatural. Buy a £1 boil in the bag curry from Iceland and you have an idea what this rice is like.

Basmati is a certain variety of rice.
Easy cook can be any type of rice, it just means its been processed in some way to make it quicker and easier to cook.
If you're on a tight budget then easy cook is acceptable but doesn't taste that good, personally I think Basmati is a lot nicer, worth the extra cost. My target price for decent Basmati is around £1 a kilo.

If you store too much open fragrant rice like basmati or Jasmine, it is open Invitation to rats and mice. Make sure rice is kept secure and sealed otherwise your neighbours might report you for inviting rats and mice around.

Catherine Tate's Nan might like this rice.

this is just long grain rice which can be bought for less than 40p per Kg in most supermarkets.

Basmati and Long Grains are 2 different things.

This rice is the worst i have ever used, the Tesco own brand rice are better than these trust me.

Real basmati would never sell at this price whatsoever, the best price ever you can get for basmati with some real good offer would be £1/kilo.

this is by far the nastiest rice I've had!
it tastes like cardboard with a hint of cockroach scent.

and this was when the bag was brand new.
