This film answered the questions I had watching films as a kid....."why are the Germans speaking English?", "why do all of the aliens speak English?"..............Because it would be VERY ANNOYING to have to read subtitles through a whole film, especially when the film isn't even foreign and they're just doing it to try and be clever.

errr, the Mayans didn't speak English.

I didn't find the subtitles to be an issue whatsoever, in fact the film would have been far less watchable had they been speaking English.

Anyway, awesome film - I was totally engrossed from start to finish.

Play or Amazon, where shall I order... they are both equally slow, quidco is only worth 20p at Play. I'm gonna close my eyes and pick.

This is a great film in my opinion. I had/have the Bluray but cant find it so I'll be buying it.
#9
Ordered it from play.com due to Quidco.

Maybe its just me but I never see the point in buying DVD's. Surely you only want to watch a film once every 3/4 years, so why spend money on it? Its not like a game which you can paly over and over again. 99.9% of its life is spent gathering dust?

Am i mad?

Still good price and good film though.

Band of brothers blu ray is the only film i Own and I didn't even buy that, but it was definitely worth getting for a present.

Loads of films are on ever night and I never watch em cause ive seen them in the last 3/4 years. So dunno why I would buy one...

I dunno, just doest make sense to me.

Depends on the film. I've been wanting to buy this title for weeks but held off because I believe in buying cheeap lol I only buy a small number of discs-- films that I know will watch again (I own about 10 blus). I agree though, I dont see the point in buying something just because it's a good deal-- is it something you actually want?

I want Assassination of Jesse James next. Can't find a good price anywhere.

I used to think that but on blu-ray the sound and picture is better than on TV and DVD

and DVD is so cheap these days that why not?

if its a brilliant film I will watch 2 maybe 3 times year, I got The Dark Knight in Bluray 15 months ago I have watched it 3 times already

I got District 9 which I watched 3 months ago and plan on watching it tonight

Yes, because they only matched the Nutty Easter deals of Play.

There is no need to buy, but, sometimes the documentaries and commentaries on DVD/Blus are worth revisiting - I wouldn't always want to do that straight away. So rent - too time-limiting or buy and resell at little loss or a small gain. Or once your storage bills reach that of a small corporation.

Otherwise, it's off to fleabay or CEX - once it's collected enough mildew, of course.
