this bike must be for giants

Reviews are mixed, but the price looks good for a general purpose run-about.

Oh and it has a "grip shift", which is a big no no IMO.

My nephew has an Apollo with a mechanical disc-brake on the front; it's useless so he relies on the back brake. Good to see this has mechanical discs front and rear - anybody know if either of them work?

A 22" mountain bike is huge.

Never worth £320. 7 speed transmissions are ancient now.

There should be no reason for it not to work that can't be sorted. The cable may be stiff (usually corroded through lack of maintenance), the fast acting thread in the caliper maybe stiff (maybe corroded through lack of maintenance) or perhaps the brake pads have worn out or become contaminated (lack of maintenance)

initially overpriced, its more worth its money now. personally i would prefer rim brakes at this price, these cheap cable disc brakes are pretty hit and miss with performance. I've seen some that just wont work at all well, and some that have been very sharp performing.
