'Education pricing is back!' - people paying these prices definitely need some edjumacashun!

The offer specifically is a free pair of beats headphones with Mac purchases.

New MacBook Pro's are probably coming in September though so it would best holding off until then if that's what you are after.

Yeah although you don't want a Laptop with an OLED screen, it's fine for a phone that you replace every 2 years, but OLEDs age fast.

Well, if you know where you can buy Macs at lower prices, please feel free to educate us all with your superior knowledge.

The cold votes for Apple products on this site really make me laugh, I thought people should be voting for the deal not the fact they don't like Apple! A deal is a deal and this is a deal no matter how you look at it!

I wouldn't worry about lifespan now the newer screens, they are rated to 50,000 hours these days.

Pretty sure education pricing is around all year long, and I'm also sure it used to be 15% that's what I got off mine

****, I don't care what they claim.

I have a GS6 and I see the image retention from the top and bottom bars, I compared it to a newer one of my friends and the screen has already faded so much. I don't like them, my friend has an OLED LG TV and it has kept the Bloodborne loading logo in the screen lol.

People go "OMG THE BLACKS ARE SO GOOD"..... but that's the only advantage over a good LCD panel, especially with HDR now, the LCD can pop more.

I've got my iPad Pro 12.9 screen and my iMac 27 inch here, I put my G/Fs Galaxy Tab pro s 2 whatever it's called.... the Apple screens look far better and they're LCD.

I just don't rate OLED, I think they have too many shortcomings and even Samsung are ditching OLED in TVs and are developing LCD instead with their quantum dot thing and whatever else they have in the pipeline.

I'll just put it this way, if Apple go OLED, in 5 years you'll have people selling them and their screens will be shot to ****. Where you'll have their 10 year old LCD panels still working great...

You don't have to worry as they won't be using OLED screens - there's just going to be an OLED strip on the housing that you can interact with. The main panel will still be IPS.

To be honest you've got to move with the times, technology moves on and gets better. The good thing about Apple is they adopt technology when it's ready instead of rushing to be the first. The newer oled technology is fantastic, but I'm going to give it a few more years.

The rumour is that the new MacBook Pro's are getting a thin OLED strip to replace the function buttons above the keyboard. The main display is likely to be the same retina LCD display.

Are Apple laptops always discounted for students? Isn't the back to school promotion just that you get a pair of beats headphones as well as the usual 14% off and the free applecare?

Free apple care/? Don't you mean discounted? Never seen it as a free addon
