For those that loved the original iPod, introducing the new sleeker, cooler black Apple iPod classic, with even more memory.

The whopping 120GB of memory of the iPod classic gives you enough storage space for the equivalent of 30,000 songs, 150 hours of video or 25,000 photos. Keep all your most precious multimedia with you all the time.

After years of development, this new iPod classic packs a host of cutting edge features in to a sleeker 10.5 mm body. Because the hard drive is so spacious, you can also use it to store any kind of file you wish simply by using it as a portable USB hard drive.

The Apple iPod classic has a 320 x 240 pixels picture resolution for beautifully clear movies and images, all of which can be easily viewed on the gorgeous 2.5-inch colour LCD screen. The super-bright LED backlight means you can even watch videos in bright daylight.

The lithium-ion rechargeable battery gives you an unbelievable 36 hours of battery life on audio playback or 6 hours of video. A fast charge of 2 hours provides 80% of battery life. For a full charge, simply charge your Apple iPod classic for approximately 4 hours through your computer's USB port.

The Apple iPod classic is still ahead in the fashion stakes. It has an all-metal enclosure that sports a polished stainless steel back and anodised aluminium front, for complete long life as well as style.

The 120GB Apple iPod classic puts a whole lot of fun in the palm of your hand.

Erm would that be the Zune where the first model crashed for 2 days over new year because Microsoft didn't program it to handle a leap year. Ok I really don't like Microsoft product but when a company makes that big a screw up it's gotta put you off buying their product.

Voted hot for iPod, good price.

Ipod is not exactly perfect. I dropped mine very lightly and it crashed and wouldn't turn on again (happened many times).
My dad's Ipod crashed cause he hasn't used it for months and had to get it replaced.

I would rather have more functionality than same old Ipod, e.g. most mp3 players have built in radio, microphone, etc, but not Ipod.

By the way, spoke to someone from microsoft and he said that they tried to get the Zune here but there were too many problems with laws, standardisation etc.

Voted hot anyway

If you hold the center button and the menu button at the same time for about 6 settings, it turns it on properly, it effectively resets it

they are always crashing etc, but only the new ones, Ive got a 2nd gen one and had it for like 4 years now, never broke on my and ive dropped it so much and used it, its not even got a scratch, headphones are getting a bit tatty though! :S

Btw, make sure the lock is off when you do it :P

It's been this price for at least 2 months and seems to be pretty much a standard at many places

It actually only affected the first generation players which were re-branded Toshiba ones, so technically the fault lies with Toshiba for that ****-up - the first-party manufactured later Zune models were fine. It's still an unforgivable oversight, but the anti-microsoft brigade are quick to jump to conclusions about this that aren't entirely accurate.

Samsung have the YP-P3 out soon that is touch screen and also has Haptics feedback - It sends feedback to your finger on the part of the screen you touch.

Have to admit I'm one of the Apple brigade so pretty much entirely anti-Microsoft, that said any manufacturer (including Apple) that made that big an oversight would make me think twice about buying their player.
