Er, the Apple Store. Their annual Black Friday "event".

No need to wait and rush to buy one and be one of those lucky ones. This link is the same price as ebuyer and even slightly better.

This is gonna end up being like the PS3 deal, too big of a demand for very low stock. Oh yeah and their website crashed too. Cold
#9
RK79 I doubt it, I had a PS3 and selected the posting then lost it, I guess during this crash very poor PR

i bet you £50 it wont and only iPad accessories get reduced. They have no need to reduce the ipad costs as demand is rising nearer Christmas!
#15
I will take you up on that bet if you're serious. However I think you may rethink that when you look at this link:

http://www.engadget.com/2010/11/25/apples-australian-store-discounts-everything-by-around-10-perce/

I'd be a terrible bookie...

apple is well known to have crap discounts on their black friday sales... so i would say £10 discount would be expected... not enough for me to drive 30miles to get one tomorrow so looks like i'll end up paying full price when i go to trafford on saturday

edit: i've just read that link above and WOW! i hope you're right!!! i'll be checking the website tonight at midnight!

a $51 Australian dollar discount per ipad equates to about £32 discount. If they discount by that much in the UK apple store and your purchased through quidco with 3% cashback my viking deal would still be approx £11 to £37 better depending on which model you go for

^^ damn dude... you're seriously advertising your posted deal???!!! but viking is out of stock! some people, like me, want to get it now! so unfortunately, i have to pay more to get it... but i had it in mind to pay for it full price anyway so hopefully no real dent in my pride :(

altho - if viking gets stock again tomorrow, i'll get it from viking! either way, thanks for posting your deal (or not coz it sold out and i couldn't get any. haha)

back order but this just means they are on order from the supplier direct. People are reporting only a few days delay by it being on back order

and also posted at 2:57 today by this 16GB Wi-Fi iPad purchaser

I ordered mine this morning, and I called to see how long back order is. The assistant rang around for me, and said it will be monday, because of the weekend

^^ yeah thanks. i just saw that comment... i might call up tomorrow to check myself but i'd like to see what apple comes with as well as i'd rather get this now than wait...

This is applicable to 3G ipads only.

You will pay for the value of the iPad over the contract but the cost should be subsidised a bit.
