10% of the difference is only £2.59

So you'd get it for £240ish.

How do you get £219.07?

I think Herby might be right about the 10% off. Their terms don't really state 10% of the difference or the total price.

£219.07 is an excellent price!
#4
The wording is strange on the site.. sounds to me like 10% of the total price.
#5
Titchimp, thats exactly what I read as well. They haven't specifically said it is 10% of the saving or of the total price.

are they under a legal obligation to price match?
#7
well, its in the t&c's so yes they should fulfill their promise.

great deal if it comes off, im sure theres probably a thing in the t&cs that they dont have to give you the discount. Worth a try and if they dont give you it at the price then kick up a stink.

we'll reduce our price by the difference plus 10% – even up to 7 days after purchase.

I read that as the difference plus 10% (of the difference)
#10
Anyone tried there price match before? Cos if its 10% of the price then I might be tempted to order this xbox cos its £219 on there own site which would take it down to £179.

I have called them and CONFIRMED this price!

"we ll reduce our price by the difference plus 10% – even up to 7 days after purchase"

The dsg group who own pcworld, dixons and currys ALL offer this same deal!
They are so desperate for sales from savy shoppers like us lot who buy on-line, that they will offer the price match to an on-line retailer AND give you 10% of that cheaper price you have found!

Is REALLY worth shopping around for cheaper prices if your gonna get a big item like lcd tv or something!

Keep in mind its these sites only...
Amazon.co.uk, Argos, Asda, B&Q, Comet, Dabs, Dell, Evesham Technology, Game, Gamestation, Halfords, HMV, Jessops, John Lewis, Maplin, Misco, Play, Staples, Tesco, Toys r Us, Virgin, Woolworths.

AND

The competitor must have the item in stock and website prices must include delivery. Single unit purchases only!!

It's worth giving them a call you have nothing to lose if they wont match it, you just buy it cheaper where you found it, i ve done a basic search on some big screen lcd's around the 40" mark and savings are up to £300 on some of them with this offer applied!
Good luck!

That is it.

If anyone manages to get 10% off the total, then well done.

Yeah, it is 10% of the difference, always has been, the only difference is (as posted a few weeks ago on here) is that they now also price match some online stores.

"If you find a lower price for the same product and offer, we'll reduce our price by 110% of the difference – even up to 7 days after purchase."

PCWORD PRICE: Web Exclusive Price inc VAT £242.10

So theres only 4p difference?

so i think 110% must be a typo and they mean 10%? and they must have update there online price and there T&T

i think there T&T states 10% off the difference - NOT 10% off???

how are you coming up with £217?

Also Amazon price is now £270!!! - edit: ok now its says £242.06 again?

It's not 100% clear how the 10% works, really depends on who you get on the phone!

I had a call where the girl was gonna match the price of an lcd that was £1000 instore at pc world, and £798 on amazon & then take the 10% off that down to £719!

Never had enough in my bank, or i would have bit her arm off for the price!

BTW amazon link still showing £242.06 for me................

It's definitely price match Plus 10% of the difference. For example, PC World price for Pro Evo 2008 is £40. Play price was £20. I paid PC World £18. Did it in store too. Staff were well impressed with the price. I think a few may have bought it too afterwards!
