Ive posted them as might be of some use to someone, however personally i dont think many of the deals look that hot, especially compared to what the yanks get!

Also as a unviersity student i am best of through the HE site anyways!

poor poor poor ....

How much does the higher education discount work out at? Is it just for full time university students?
#12
very poor discounts!!! £3.01 on a set of £60 headphones... and only £11 of a £368 time capsule...
#13
In all fairness, a deal is a deal - irrespective of the edu/military/health discounts which you can get throughout the year. If you don't fall into any of these categories (and i don't), then today is a good time to shop as its the only time you can purchase something at a discounted rate.

p.s. one can not really compare prices here and abroad. We pretty much get shafted for everything.
#14
The thing is with them anouncing Black Friday sale or what ever - days ago - u actually hope they would do more - poor in my eyes!
#15
Not a great sale - but it's not often you get discounted stuff on Apple Products from any reseller tbh so I guess this is better than nothing and might help someone! Neutral from me!
#16
How generous of Apple. Im going to buy their entire stock. Thank you so much for this Apple - Im extreamly greatful. Please sir - can I have more?
#17
It's more like off-White Friday!

Pretty poor IMHO. After getting the email I was expecting a 1 day a year blow out! Especially as it said limited stock on the offers! Midnight came, I looked then left!

We're just going to keep getting ours from America got a 160GB classic 2 years ago for £180 when it was £250 here & got the apple exclusive red 16GB nano from the apple store in florida last month for £100. What's even better is there's no volume limit!
#18
£138 for the Latest Ipod Touch with Free Delivery & Engraving is a good deal in my opinion. Thanks for posting Rep Added

What's even better is i can ruin my hearing and annoy everyone on the bus at the same time!

Fixed that for you

Uninspiring really.

On the one hand, you're getting a small discount off the usual selling prices, so if you're in the market to buy certain Apple products anyway, it's an ok deal.

On the other hand, these prices aren't going to tempt anyone into any impulse related buys.

I've bought loads of Apple stuff over the years, but stopped buying their computers out of principle a couple of years back. They're just getting more and more expensive, whilst equivalent systems are getting cheaper and cheaper. Don't get me wrong - the Apple design and operating system is great, but there's no way a current spec white plastic macbook should retail for any more than £500, in my opinion. And don't get me statrted on the price of the new Mac mini.....

No student discount on iPods anyway.

nope but ive got a classic so no need for one :-D

Other retailers have been giving away £15 iTunes vouchers with iPods, have had discounts or giving vouchers to use at a later date (like Argos are currently).

i'm about to buy a 21.5" imac.. is there any compelling reason to get one with dedicated graphics?

for an extra £220 you get:

1TB HDD (instead of 500GB)
ATI Radeon HD 4670 with dedicated 256MB GDDR3 (instead of NVIDIA GeForce 9400M with 256MB of shared DDR3 memory)

other than that, the two 21.5" models are identical.. i'm not a big gamer, but part of me is still having doubts about shared graphics..

that being said, every PC i've ever had has had shared graphics, and it hasn't given me any problems/limitations so far..

thoughts?

thank you for being the voice of reason lol.. i had practically convinced myself that i needed dedicated graphics, but you were right.. my media PC is an old skt939 athlon64 with shared nvidia 6150 onboard, and it can play 720p HD MKV content with no problems at all, so i'm sure i can "just about" get by with nvidia 9400M in this new beast!

imac ordered
