£1,149.00 and only an i3 processor. I would expect a Blu-Ray writer too at his price. Cold.

It's got the Apple logo on. People will pay anything to get that apple logo.

When will people stop this c rap. Yes, it's a bit more expensive than a PC. Yes, it is rather well-made. Show me an equivalent all-in-one system, that's as well specified, quiet and nice to look at an use and tell me how expensive it is?

You have to compare like for like..

All in one PC by a named brand with the same spec and you'll pay similar money. Sure you can buy an i3 pc much cheaper but comparing it to an iMac is apples and oranges.

Look for Sony all in 1 PCs and you can spend over 2k for i3/i5 with blu ray and a slightly larger monitor.

Not sure what is wrong with this deal, its not a mac vs pc war, is just a simple deal, either you vote hot for it(which you all should because is the cheapest option) or you don't post stupid things regarding the cpu, gpu, etc.

try get a similar machine (incl. LED-backlit display) cheaper: hard
try to get a similar machine that can legally run OS X: impossible

100 quid off plus Quidco is a good deal. Comet did similar deals for MacBook Pros (where I saved 250 quid) so hot from me.

And for those who moan that Apple is oh so expensive: pull it out and get informed before posting BS.

I could put together a similar system for half the price with an LED backlit IPS LCD Panel. I could do so while selecting components that will let the system be hackintoshed. I could then buy an Apple sticker off ebay for 50p and people would gasp at my expensive apple mac system (which actually runs faster and has a better spec while being half the price).

Hahahahaha. Prove it! Half price? I want to see that...faster, better spec, half price, c'mon, show us you are not talking out of your back side.

"I could do so while selecting components that will let the system be hackintoshed."

That is not a legal way of running OS.

Yeah, not sure where I'd stand if I wanted to develop iPhone apps on your Shonkintosh.
