Wish they would reduce last years iPhone model prices to clear :(

FYI this will be 21.5" Imac, not a bad deal if you can get hold of one, voted hot from me, OP worth updating the title with screen size/spec etc.

Impressive price!

Although I rarely use my Mac these days, it's pretty much a back up hard drive for my iPod. Tend to use my iphone or iPad.

its funny that it came from an apple fan boy. The fact that you are buying Apple's product prove that you are no better. at least he didnt harm anyone, be ashamed of yourself

They aren't the latest models, I'm not that much of a fanboi. It's just I've moved away from a desktop to the comfort of the sofa!

Sent from my iPad :p

The pc would get slower, and slower, and slower, and still be faster than this. And whatever you wanted to do you could.

Bought a mac mini, dont like it, usb ports are not easy to access, keeps crashing randomly, cant use apple operating system.

I have build my own water cooled pc's before and get along with windows, but i just cant make the move to apple as a main pc because of the OS.

That been said i would say this a a good price if you are after one.

Its actually not that bad for a price, when you bear in mind A) it's apple so resale value is probably more than the cost. B) processor is quite good.

The graphics card (as is the same in most apple comps) isn't good so don't expect to go running loads of games on them. In that instance you're better off with a PC. For a work or family PC though and you don't like windows and aren't a system builder definitely pick this up

Once you go apple you can't go back, I wouldn't m go back to windows at all. The way the os runs is beautiful on my MacBook

I think it's dual core not quad core.

I think it's dual core not quad core.

Why say stuff that isn't true. It's a quad-core.

But this is last year's model so it's not as good a deal as it could be.

excellent deal.smoking hot.

Isn't this the 2012 model? Cold.

One thing to keep in mind regarding Mac products, some products (Macbook pros for sure) do not have the facility to upgrade the ram as it's soldered onto the board, so if you intend to get a full 3/5 years life out of them, plan for a 16 GB ram.

I am sitting on 2GB Ram free from my 10GB ram laptop on OS 10.10.

Don't be confused by their free memory number. OsX will use up memory for file caching etc when programs are not using it and the switch it out when it's requested ie the free amount is not how much is free to apps

I don't know much about computers other than my imac 2010 is still going strong, never had to control, alt, delete it ever like I do my work laptop. Voted hot!

Cracking deal....voted hot!!!

I love how people constantly jump on the "apple...cold" bandwagon! Apple computers were predominantly designed for the creative industry and are still the best piece of kit to use over a PC in our industry any day! Now Apple have strong brand name presence every one and his mum feels they need to have one....I guess it's like keeping up with jones's! People buying them for the name and not purpose they are intended for which is when they will see the true benefit of using one!

Very true, I bought my iMac because I didn't want a vista run PC. 6 years later and it's been the best thing I've owned, never had a reboot etc like my work computers.
#39
It's an okay deal for the 21" imac. You can't upgrade the RAM easily unlike its bigger 27" brother which allows you access to the memory slots via a cover at the back. I'm almost certain the 21" also runs a 2.5" 5400rpm hard disk which is essentially laptop spec - which to me is a bit disappointing for a desktop, the 27" fairs much better in this regard.

Nah it's fair enough, if you're a bit on the 'simple minded' side and can't maintain your PC, maybe this is where you belong, having it done for you for around 300% of what its RRP should be.
