  I sent my proof of purchase for a refurb 27" iMac and Apple reset the warranty (1 year AppleCare) to the purchase date. I also complained to PCWorld as I did not have iLife included and they refunded me £34.99 which is the current Amazon selling price. The iMac came with Lion installed instead of Snow Leopard but it didn't include any install/restore DVDs as listed here:

  I have just spoken to KNOWHOW cs who told me iLife is supplied by apple and nothing to do with them. But the description on the website was wrong. She was told this by someone in the back room

  They just copied the description from the new listing and used it for the refurb. In my case they also supplied it with a fresh 10.7 Lion install rather than the original 10.6 Snow Leopard version.

  Yeah.
  I tried to buy one a few days ago but good old M&S security wouldn't let the card payment go through. We contacted them & kicked up a fuss, but there was no-one in security to 'authorise' the payment. It was about 11pm
  It was 'stopped' simply because online credit card fraud is not uncommon.
  What's the point in having a credit card if it can only be used during office hours. It's happened a few times with that damned M&S card. I could write a book !
  
  Refurbs gone now though.. oh well, must be an omen, I must be meant to buy the new one whenever that's released.
