ooh, nearly a grand and it's still only got a spinning hard drive and 1080p

feels a bit chilly.

Well it's the cheapest iMac I could find..... sorry it's a spinney drive :(

It's a slow spinning drive if this is the latest model: 5400rpm. Very sluggish.

I think they are 7200rpm but regardless you should never buy an iMac without a fusion drive or SSD. It's ok on a £400 Mac mini (as you can upgrade even the new ones and it's Apple cheapest computer) but not ok on an iMac. I don't reckon they sold many of these!
