4 - 5 year old tech
#2
Hardly any apps work
#3
Terrible!
#4
problem is it only has 256mb ram (quarter of a gig)
apps just shut down on their own
unless you only want it for surfing the web and watching movies/listening to music, don't waste your money

The same offer went South back in July, so I doubt this will do any better .... it's definitely not improving with age! http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/apple-ipad-first-generation-9-7-inch-pc-tablet-16gb-wifi-99-svp-grade-b-3-month-1949526

The tech isn't up to it any more, there are much better android equivalents out there nowadays.

Basically a cheap iPad for people who want to say they have an iPad, but can't really afford an iPad?

an old dog

How ironic the op used and android device to post this, the main problem I see with this is the likelihood that practically all of the software available may have been updated beyond the specification of the device making it effectively useless.

Hold on. We still have an iPad 1 as well as an iPad 2 and 3. Many, many apps still work. From an unscientific estimate 80-90% of the apps we use work fine. Video playback works fine. Ios is still at v5 but mail works OK. Apple has abandoned the platform but in our house it still gets used heavily.

It doesn't play the latest games eg reckless racing 3 and is useless for video editing but when I suggested we either give it away or sell it the response was a resounding no

Now is this iPad worth £99, probably not, would people pay £60? I would have thought yes.

So it's overpriced but still a useful computer if you've brought into the apple lock in

A pointless calculation! If you only ever used Safari and email on it, you could declare that 100% of the apps you use work fine! I bet that far less than 80-90% of AVAILABLE apps actually run on it.
And it's not £60 so whether that's a reasonable price is irrelevant!

I work in app support for about 30 apps 2 or 3 support is 5 and those are really basic apps and even then they run poorly 256mb of ram is just not enough for apps
#13
I can't believe people would still buy it because it's apple...
#14
I was given one the other week for testing mobile management with as mazuma etc offer next to nothing. Swapped for some beer.
