Cold is not air!

Well spotted. If you can get an iPad Air for those prices new with 4g, let me know, I probably wouldn't think about it too much! These on the other hand I'm having to decide against my lil Nook HD+...

How do you mean work with iphone? Its a cellular device in its own right but yes you could tether it to your iphone and since it uses iTunes, you can load up your apps/music on it too.

iPad 4 is still a capable device and 4g being more available its pretty nifty. As for those looking for the Air, guessing you'll vote cold unless they were paying you to take it.

It's 4G, find us a 4G Air at this price numpty.
#14
The air is worth the extra IMO. This is old and slow now.
#15
Bought from Argos outlet for £240. Ok price but could be worth spending a little more for the air
#16
if you want the Air at a lower price I would wait a few weeks as Apple are announcing the next iPad very soon so the price of the Air will decrease.
#17
Not a big issue overall but these are imports:

Please note this is shipped with a 2 pin EU mains charger. Perfect for holidays!

Nice bit of positive marketing at the end there!!

Would need to buy a 3 pin charger for the UK (or a 3 PIN travel adaptor)

Horsehit.... these kind of posts are so ignorant lol.

Please do tell me what exactly is this iPad slow at doing?

Also 3 weeks ago you posted a deal for the iPad Mini at £249, saying it was "good for what it is". You are either very confused or a bad troll, I guess I will never know. :D.

Everything when you compare it to the iPad Air, and with the release of ios8 in a few weeks it will only get slower.

They were doing the air last week for £300 'like new' but with the new one being so close it's worth waiting

Ok so the iPad 4 is slow at everything? That's simply a lie. The difference is speed on most applications will be hardly noticeable and the 4 will be able to handle IOS8 just fine.Your deal which you thought was HOT was for the Mini, which is equivant to an IPad 2. You didn't mention the ISO 8 release for it. I have the Mini and have the 4 I absolutely no issues whatsoever with either and I doubt ISO8 will change that.

If you'd read my response properly you'd see that it sa everything when compared to the ipad air. This will very soon be 2 generations old which generally means it becomes noticeably slower. The price is still a significant amount of money for a lot of people so I think it would be better put towards a current model that will be supported and usable for longer. Just my opinion but when I first tried the air, I bought one straight away and sold my ipad 4 as the difference in speed is easily noticeable. If you're happy with your old tech then that's just grand.

Lol perfectly happy, in day to day applications the speed difference is negliagble. Sure in a month your iPad Air will be old tech but I'm sure the minute you pick the new one up you will buy it :D. All of what you are saying is the opposite of the deal you yourself posted 3 weeks ago, in that deal you said an ipad with about 3 or so years old tech was "good for what it is", it wasn't that much cheaper than this deal. That is my point.

Just checked and I actually siad good price for what it is. Which it was. This is also a good price for what it is, so I have voted hot. I was merely pointing out that the people likely to be considering buying this (those without an ipad already or don't want/can't afford to buy a new one every couple of years) would probably be better to put the money towards a newer model. And yes, if the new ipad is better than the current one I probably will buy one.

Much as it makes me chuckle reading the banter on this thread, has anybody bought one of these from this site? Is the price quoted inclusive of VAT?
#27
All you need is a figure-of-eight power cable, which are in abundance in every household, to charge it. Then you can keep the EU head for holidays or whatever.

I bought the ipad 4 retina 32gb + cellular from these guys on Friday, it turned up on Tuesday. It was brand new, imported from Turkey and had a Vodafone seal on it.

Price I paid was the price displayed on the site plus 4.99 postage for Royal Mail Special Delivery. It is a lot cheaper than the equivalent model direct from Apple.

Doesn't qualify for the free copies of pages and numbers that new devices are apparently entitled to, and does indeed have a twin prong euro style adapter. Worked in English right out of the box and all in all I have no complaints.

I haven't checked the warranty yet, nor has my non Vodafone sim arrived for me to check that it is fully as described.

I've purchased phones from Smartfonestore on at least five occasions so far. They are a UK based company and the price does include VAT

Yes! Only the iPads sold by mobile phone companies are SIM locked - all others are unlocked. They are perfectly happy with 3G SIMs.
