Was anyone else sent an iPad Mini 2 when the Black Friday promotion was on a few weeks ago?

Not sure if it was sent by accident, or if JL sent out newer ones because of stock running out!
#3
Ordered for the same price from Tesco Direct, when delivered can I return it and purchase from JL to get the extra year's warranty?
#4
If its the 2 year warranty rather than 1 then I wouldn't waste your time as all electronic goods are covered by the Sale of Goods Act (upto 6 years). I returned my Toshiba laptop to Currys after a screen failure (2 years old) quoted SOGA and replaced free.

Please advice how did you get discount on JL..

Avoid the Mini 1. The same processor as used in the iPad 2, non-retina display, and will be outdated and slow by the next iOS update. Do yourself a favour and spend the extra 60 quid.

Mini 2 is much better value for £60 more

why?

It's slow on iOS 8, it won't receive any more system updates and it's non-retina. No system updates means no new apps too, and no updates to older apps. Many people will just say "well I'll only use it for web browsing" and yes that will go out of date too.

Mini 2 is two generations ahead of Mini 1 so will last for an extra few years, and it's only a few quid more.

Just not worth it. Get a 2013 nexus 7. Common sense. Not an android fanboy btw.

i m not voting this one. feel amazed about the price is still 169 pounds for mini 1. personally will go for some low cost/high performance android tablets

I think its obvious that the iPad Mini 2 would bea better buy if you have the money. But if you don't have that extra money, its a good buy. And if you're buying it as a gift, it's not your problem if it is soon dead tech;)

Up to 6 years sog act says YOU must prove the product to be defective or not working order. That's a tall task. Which is why no-one does it after the 3 years manufacturer/retailer warranty has past.
This tablet is not worth its price btw. Like other said get the v2 or a different product.

You could apply this argument to every item that has ever been reduced in price

Gone back to normal price now which throws your theory out of the window

If is not working, could you take it along with you to show that it is not working, as proof that it is not working ?
