HaHa, deals are deals, but where one person doesn't have a use for i.e arguably between a Macbook and an iphone. Still it is fantastic for some of those that don't i.e. my my dad who wouldn't know how to use a computer mouse but can use one of these to get on the internet.

I would suggest although you may be partly right, the millions sold show that its highly desirable and this is an excellent price.

Me personally - wouldnt buy one. No usb ports? seriously!

Wether you think this item is useless or not, the price is awesome and should be voted on this fact alone, and the price has almost tipped me over the edge to get one

if you are worried about your incredible reputation then putting that in the description is exactly the sort of thing to make people vote cold as well as general apple hating
you have included quidco in price which you are not supposed to do although it can be mentioned as an aside and certainly looks like a significant point but its not guaranteed

Very good find, also Viking Direct gives free same day delivery if you order before 10am also

OP please note, the prices listed are for business accounts and are not inclusive of VAT, the price for regular customers are found Here which are inclusive of VAT, see the price label for each ipad on the regular consumers website, its states (inc VAT), the business page which is the one you have linked, does not include VAT.

Might change peoples mind on voting hot!!!

No they are the same, you just directed me to the same link that is in the deal which is not including VAT until checkout!

The prices I have given in the title, post and table are all after VAT applied.

they are exactly the same, if you click your own link you can see exvat price is 357 which is less than the total price posted - obviously discounts and cashback aren't adding to the price - that was the vat already considered
hint: 357*1.175 = 420 (ish)

How can a price be awesome irrespective of the item itself? Is £11.95 awesome? 59p? Well, it depends on what you are buying. For a **** it's probably not a good price. Depends on the item.

agreed, hopefully my table helps - but note I didn't not including vikings prices pre VAT so it didn't confuse, but it seems it has by now showing it.

Apologies, the original link took me to the viking direct business page, which lists the ipad with no VAT added, apologies to the OP as this would appear to be due to the site recognising my browser and system as coming from a business server then automatically setting this as my preference.

no worries, the deal took about a 30 degree dive colder but hopefully it will still go hot, and others might benefit from the deal.

Rubbish, you vote based on the deal, which after reviewing it again and despite my protestations above, is a good deal based on the RRP of the product, your own blinkered apple hating review of the product is neither here nor there.

Based on the price of the product elsewhere, this is a good deal, hence the name of the website!

ignore the poor people, iPad's are ace, this is a great price. guessing they bought 100's of retail ones and selling at a loss to raise the companies profile

I've owned an iPad since July and I use it every day without fail for web browsing, reading books/magazines, apps like amplitube and ims20 and for the odd game. But if you say it's "one of the most useless items ever concieved by mankind" then you must be right.

If the iPad is such a bad product, then why do people I've never spoken to before want to talk to me about it and nearly always walk away saying "I want one of those"?

Strange that.

Before you 'accuse' me, I haven't got an iPad, I haven't got an iPhone.

Your comments are 'YOUR' opinion and you're perfectly entitled to your opinion. There was a time when mobile phone technology was developing, were 'texting' wasn't done. The concept was developed but at the time most companies couldn't see the value of it. How things change! Of course there have also been developments that have been a total white elephant. Case in point....

How the hell Clive Sinclair thought that that thing would be a success is beyond most peoples imagination but they do say there's a fine line between genius and insanity!

Correct! As posted in the my first post it is not applied during the checkout process, you add it in the notes and Viking process the discount when they ship the item - it’s just how there website works unfortunately.

It worked for me on my order, if there is a problem with the code they should call you anyway, and the code is detailed on Quidco just to back thinks up

The Apple marketing concept is genius.

You make something shiny and desirable, and very expensive. Because it's expensive people are a lot less likely to admit that they bought a pup.

There is absolutely no question whatsover that the iPad is seriously lacking in many areas, and it is of course another part of Apple's strategy to sell 'new and improved' versions to their army of fans.

The only use for a device like this is to tell the world a little something about you when sat in Starbucks.
