ha ha ha. what a load of elitist rubbish. maybe people just see past the snobish sheep mentality and realise they can get something better for less money. clearly you just enjoy wasting money that's all.

ill admit they do app store better than anyone but getting caught up fast.

the ip4, samsung s2 and even the htc sensation are all FANTASTIC phones, and are all expensive!

there is a lot of elitist crap surrounding Apple, and generally it is founded, but not in the case of the iPhone... it's one of the most groundbreaking devices of the past fifty years

the AppStore is head and shoulders above Android Marketplace et al if you look at the stats; the competition has a long, long way to go.

200 million iPhone users can't be wrong lol X)

in my opinion the app store is more polished and refined than than the market place but as far as hardware is concerned the android phones are coming into there own apple are going to have to come up with the goods for iphone 5 or theyll lose the "must have" factor bring it on its all good for us, true competition for apple at last

I upgraded to the IP4 a couple of months back on a bit of a whim after having a blackberry for the last 4 years nearly.
I'm wondering If my handset is faulty as im yet to experience this 'groundbreaking' phone you speak of!

"if you don't have an iphone you can watch flash, true multi tasking, customize with widgets, have vastly better connectivity and not be controlled" ok ill get an android then

plus think fact they are having to pay millions in patent infringements to Nokia as announced today shows a lot
#23
how does this quidco thing work then? ive registered but not got any code or anything how will it know?

£840 for the overall contract?

Thats why its so cold.
#25
And just for record 200million iphone users. maybe true but android have taken 6.4% market share alone in 1Q surpassing IOS in end of 2010.

as I said I think iphone is a good product but by no means groundbreaking. it only takes a subjective look to realise that.
#26
All operating systems have their merits, I like my desire, but i can see why less tech minded people would prefer iphones.

apple selling phone for : From £510
840 over 2 years.
deduct phone you are left with £330 (840-510)
this then becomes :
£13.75 a month for the line rental (600 mins & Unlimited texts + 500MB data per month)

without taking into consideration cashback. This then makes it a good deal for those who:
1) want an iphone 4,
2) want vodafone.
3) don't want to fork out all that cash upfront.
Thanks for posting

this forum is supposed to be deciding whether a deal is good on its merits.
therefore the ios vs android vs wp7 debate is futile

the fact that android sales are now larger then iphone and growing massively and that the android market is just as good as the apple one and that android has plenty of dual core phones out now, and some classy designs like the htc sensation, desire s and gratia, shows that Android is clearly the superior platform.

I have had a iphone 4 and plenty of android phones and a wp7 phone and iOS is clearly the inferior os now, especialy compared to Android 2.3.3 and WP7 Mango. It can't even actively show the user what messages/emails/facebook they have received. you have to physically go into each icon to find out your mail - how primitive is that! Not to mention that Android via google and WP7 have free "cloud" storage. Apple makes you pay $99 a year for an inferior product and you can only sync to outlook via itunes (yech!). Both android (with gsyncit and WP with MS outlook addin) can sync directly to PC outlook via their clouds.

however judging this deal on its own there are plenty of £35 a month free iphone deals for 24 months, e.g. any phones4u shop will give you that after 5 mins of discussion.

so on its merits, cold!

Give it a rest , Your deal is cold , your arguments weak and juvenile , deal with it

also remember that vodafone will refuse to unlock the phone until the end of contract.
that's why o2 deals have an intrinsic higher value as they will unlock contract phones at any time for free.
to be complete, orange will unlock for a fee after 3 months
3 and tmobile are the same as vodafone (albeit with inferior networks)

Neither can the fanboi's, but they still get them.

Credit innit.

Outdated phones before they are even released with Steve Job's telling everyone that they've 'found a new concept' or 'new idea' when it's already been done by many other manufacturers including Fisher Price.

I own an Iphone but got long bored of it due to it's restrictions...even after a jailbreak.

Android store is expected to surpass App Store next summer gaining Android even more market share.

hot deal ...agree is best iphone deal out there...

recently bought a phone..wanted iphone but was out of price range...got me an xperia play and i LOVE it!!
#36
This is hot for an Iphone price, but as you can get the Samsung Galaxy SII for more than £10 less per month why would you buy this?
A replacement will be out in less than 90 days so either wait it out. Buying this now is like purchasing an Iphone 3G 23 months ago, when you could have bought an Iphone 3GS 2 months later.

The 3G is no longer supported by apple. Thus 2 years with an Iphone 4 from now is a bad decision.
#37
LOL.. I was sitting here thinking .... "why would apple no longer support 3G network connectivity?"

/slap!

i dont think the fact that you base the price of the iPhone at £540 makes a difference. There were posts of Samsung Galaxy S II's on here at contract total price of equal or less value than the retail cost of the phone that only got lukewarm heat.

£840 for a year old phone which will most likely be unsupported by the end of the contract is not good value.
