I'm voting cold. I've been an iPhone user since the first, 2g iPhone all the way to the 5s. I work in marketing and I see hype. The iPhone 7 is frankly no more than an insult thrown into the faces of loyal Apple followers. A meagre camera upgrade, an extra hour battery time, no earphone jack and still low storage makes me so angry at just how much Apple are taking their users for a ride - by charging an absolute fortune for what is in essence warmed over tech. No, not worth it. If the cost was a few hundred quid less then maybe. With the removal of the headphone jack Apple have now pretty much locked the iPhone down. You want earphones? You'll be paying through the nose for them... Crazy. Oh, and it STILL doesn't have a HD screen, despite android hardware manufacturers offering HD and Quad HD for years. If that's not a pretty clear message at just how tight Apple are (let's face it, they have the corporate strength to drop unit costs) then I don't know what is.

Still trying to come to terms with how expensive this is lol. Don't think I'll sleep now:(

How much? Jeez. More money than sense? Best advice I have seen is to stick with IPhone 5 or 6 and go to 8 next year. Does the price include headphones?

Why not just get the base model and put an SD card in? Oh thats right this Apple we are talking about can't fleece the users if they do that. £1600+ for a mobile no deal.

oO wow that's just crazy. Why not just buy the phone and a sim only and save money instead of being robbed.

Apple is the cause of another ice age.

iPhone accessories.

Not a particularly great deal. Also have you not read the reviews on the jet black? It's a finger print magnet and prone to damage more so than the other ones. Gone for the black 128gb 7+ myself. £42 a month, £30 upfront, 15gb data, unlimited texts and minutes.

At this price you could hire someone to write your messages on nice paper and hand deliver it.

... And play pokemon go for you

It's a disgrace that Apple & now even Samsung are bringing out these phones yearly... And the pressure on young adults to be "upto date" or whatever doesn't make it easy on parents!

Just shy of £1,800 for a Joe basic phone?

You can buy a decent second hand car these days for that, complete madness.

An unbelievable deal ...
I do find it almost unbelievable that someone would pay this much for a mass produced phone with a phone contract.
#29
This is a terrible offer. I preordered jet black 7 PLUS 256gb for 900 and pay 16 a month for three sim only with All you can eat data (12 month = 192) That's approx 800 cheaper than this deal, s#$@ loads of data and a bigger and better screen.

erm... Firstly, have you seen the resolution difference between this phone and the best android on the market? I suggest you check it out on gsmarena before commenting in future. There quality of the Apple screen is substantially higher than any android on the the market. Secondly you can buy a 4.5 Jack to lightening adapter to use any headphones you wish.

The reason why I'll probably go for this EE tariff (the the deal post) is that the unlimited calls work for roaming in the EU too and the 25gb data also includes up to 15gb of it roaming in the EU per month. My current tariff costs me £3 per day for 500mb when abroad and I now spend 5-10 days a month in Spain. Horses for courses.

Love my iPhone 6S but surely even the most hardened of Apple fan would agree, this is the worst update of the phone, ever?! It's about £100-200 more expansive and basically is ever so slightly more powerful. And that's it?!

Hey check out the changes coming to tariffs for EU roaming etc.

Sim-only EE deals pop up now and again for £15ish with a big chunk of data plus free EU calls etc. So that would free up £100+£50x24 to invest in a phone = £1300 = far more than the price of even the top of the range model.
