Great price for a Brand New shiny iPhone SE 16GB.

Simply choose the 1GB data and upfront cost of £59.99.

1) Follow the get deal button, purchase the GB and tarriff
2) Receive your brand new phone and sim card.
3) Put the sim card into your phone and go onto myO2 (app or website) and from there request the unlock code.
4) Call 202 from the same sim card as it will make things much easier, go straight to the I want to leave o2 department or something like that (I think it's thinking of leaving us? Press something) as that will connect you with the right people much quicker.
5) Tell the person you want to pay your device in full and cancel the airtime. They will ask you why, tell them you don't think the airtime is a good value for money, but you want to keep the phone because you think it's an outstanding value for money. They will ask you for card details, you tell those details and that's it, they cancel it for you in about an hour.
6) You own the phone from that point, assumed that you have done this straightaway, there won't be any charges, otherwise you will have to pay as much airtime as you have used.
7) Unlock code will come through in about 2 to 48 hours.
8) In first month they might take the airtime from your bank account through direct debit because they generate the bill the next day you apply for a contract, don't be scared as this will be refunded the next month, if not, call them again.

wifes xmas present sorted. Hot

Dont be scared by refresh, takes a few mins online chat to sort out canceling, and 1 phone call. Done it twice. And this is a good deal.

Do you know of any deals for the 64gb SE?

Deserves heat - also £221.99 for a "like new" in rose. £30 cheaper and probably unmarked.

Why is this cold? People want something for nothing these days. This should be hot OP! I'm tempted as a second spare phone at only £8 a month.

Can you buy the o2 refresh in store and cancel the same way?

I guess the unlock link is under "device details", for me this comes up with "This information is not available at the moment. Please try again later." - perhaps takes a while for them to update their systems with the IMEI?

not yet - my understanding is you need to make some calls for their systems to register the imei.
and then it might take a few days to update.
I also filled out this form:
https://www.o2.co.uk/apps/help/help?qid=1&q1=2&route=unlocking&case=Handset%20Unlocking%20Form
and did an IM with someone on their website who also filled out a form for me.

Thanks - i'll do that and be patient. Don't want to cancel the airtime before it's unlocked.

Agreed - I believe the cooling off period is 14 days starting with the day after you "signed" up.

requested my unlock on 1st about 1pm, got email 2nd at 7pm which needed me to connect the phone to a pc and iTunes did the unlock.

I put the sim in the phone, did not make any calls or use the sim at all and after a few hours the "This information is not available at the moment. Please try again later." message disappeared. Requested the unlock code and then rang cs who cancelled the airtime and i paid the device off in full. All went smoothly.

I had filled in the form just in case on the 1st and got the email confirmation tonight.
Never got rid of the 'information unavailable' message but not a worry now.
Now to cancel airtime and pay for the device.

yep mine still has the message, I paid for the phone in full yesterday and cancelled the contract today

It did eventually show up just as I called to cancel.
I also called up to ensure they don't take the first months airtime. I do owe them 38p for a chargeable call i made to try and force the phone to register. Assistant put my invoice on hold as final bill wont apparently be generated until after the DD is due. I wont cancel the DD until after the payment to avoid any credit issues. Bit of a faff but worth it for a very well priced phone.

Anyone tried doing this via txt chat??? Just thought then you'd have a full transcript!!!

You need to ring o2 cancellations. But you could then go on chat and ask them to verify everything is cancelled and the unlock is requested :)

How long did it take O2 to unlock your phone? I requested an unlock via the linked online form on Tuesday (after making a short call on the phone) and haven't heard anything back yet. I also still have the unavailable message re unlocking the phone displayed in the my O2 app.

It was 3 or 4 days for it to unlock.
I've had fun since. They tried to bill me a full months airtime when I cancelled. Was told they would sort that. Then got chased to pay the bill they said they would 'sort' a fee weeks later.
Then they issued another bill trying to charge me the 18 months airtime in one go.
I think it's sorted now. Had it confirmed on the phone and via webchat.
A little bit of hassle but still worth it for the deal I'd say.

Eek, that sounds like a total headache for you! I hope the whole cancellation process goes more smoothly for me.

I actually ended up receiving the text saying that I need to insert another sim and connect it to iTunes to complete the process a few hours ago. I'm gonna have to order a new monitor for my desktop on Amazon tonight so that I can access iTunes ASAP.
