This is an excellent price now. I paid this for a 2GB version a couple of months ago. Although the new 4GB nano with video playback is only going to be £99.
#4
yeah very good price. misses got this for me back in July for £108ish
#5
Very good price need my £5 voucher from the competitions last week first lol.
#6
Not such a good deal now the new Nano's are out at £96
#7
It is still a 30% off the price for the new line, for what is a very sexy piece of electronics. I have no desire to watch videos on my ipod, and would say that for anyone who just wants to listen to music, this will serve you perfectly - and for under £70 from a reputable dealer...
Anyway, thank to edi - got a couple for xmas pressies - bit early - but xmas is only round the corner.

but some people who are getting pestered for an ipod by their kids and cant afford one maybe now can with a big £30 difference between this and the new one.

Normaly the popular colours are dearer but I want the pink one for my daughter and its £75 :x

Absolute bargain! Cheers Ed.

Nice price hovewer if you go to US you can get new 4GB nano for $150 (£75).
#11
It's a good price for what it is. I have my doubts that the new one will be as popular given it's slightly odd looking shape.

Agreed, but that's only a bargain if you already have a suitable power adapter for it. Othwerwise it's up to another £20 for one. All gets a bit borderline then.
#13
Has anyone got an Amazon code to get this even cheaper?

I think they're quoting the US price for the new model Nano.

Er.....and the air fare!!!
#17
8GB 2nd Gen Nano also available for £99 (link)

The old style Nanos are still priced up at $199 and $249 in the US - my mate was in New York last week hunting around for a sub $80 or sub $230 4 or 8gb iPod and failed miserably, even at the 'cheapy' electronics stores.

This seems like a great deal if you're not planning to watch vids on your iPod. Voted Hot, oh yes.

Hi,

First ever post. Does this ipod have a bookmarking feature. I see that the newest nano advertises this feature.

Many Thanks.

arent all ipods from the mini onwards chargeable via usb = no power cable required.
#21
Good deal. Just ordered one for Mrs Dodger. Cheers.
#22
Signed up to the dvd rental and got this for only 51.37 Inc V.A.T!
#23
Good price but I use my PSP for music. Got it from Argos with 3 years full cover for about £150.00.

I know again it's slightly bigger than your average MP3 player but at least you know it's covered for a good 3 years.
#24
That's just the way I think though! So not really relevant I know.

Just giving advice for people with similar mindsets! :whistling:

Good point. Might very well be, but you might still need one if you don't want to lug more kit around with you if you travel much.

I think you just have to buy the adapter for your country. The usb cable plugs straight into it so you won't have anything extra to lug around.

but you will need one whichever you buy. cos no ipods come with a power adapter. all just come with a usb cable. so a USA model is exactly the same as UK ones.

and yes they are able to use bookmarks, but only on .M4B (audiobook) files. i dont know if the new ones have some sort of bookmark feature that works on normal .M4A and MP3 files too...

I've had this one since November, £110 I paid. Sill going strong, loads of battery life. The video is nice on the new model but I'm thinking of getting iPod Touch to really enjoy movies on the go in the future.

I suppose that's where the PSP fails a bit with the battery life. That's the only thing that dissapoints me about it. Well that and the lack of quality games! :whistling:
#34
yeah DS lite and iPod Touch. Apple and Nintendo perfect harmony.
#35
@ danspen,

Yea, how did you get it reduced to 51 squid? At that price I would get one without hesitation. But at 70 it's still a touch too much, for my poorness to allow :(

Please enlighten us,

Houldey :)

I went through the checkout pages to the very last one before you confirm your order.

I then saw a flyer sign up to our DVD Rental service and get £15 off this purchase instantly. The dvd rental is £3.99 but saw information about a free 2 week trial, not to sure thoug(can cancel at any time though)

It takes the £15 off the price before V.A.T, then applies V.A.T hense the price of £51.37
#37
So you get a two week trial? Or you must pay 3.99? I.e. increasing the cost of the iPod 4 squid (assuming you cancel the dvd thing straight away). I'll check it out.

Cheers!
#38
really not to sure, sorry. I'd call it £55

dvd rental only gives discount on dvds

Selected the credit card sign up thing and got it for £51.37 as you again get £15 off before vat, just use card once for petrol within 90 days then cut it up :)
