Thats good but I would rather collect in store and be able to take it back if need be, Dixons is only web based now but it is cheaper than what I found so rep left thank you:thumbsup:

These ipods are still way over priced. For another 30 quid you can get yourself an IPOD touch.

Creative ZEN are far better in terms of value for money and functionality compared to the IPOD. How much is an 8gb drive these days? a tenner at most?.....these should be around the £70 mark.

I agree with with what you say, however if you want the brand then you have to be willing to pay for it, I am only trying to help people by listing the cheapest that I can find it for, if people wanted a Zen then they would buy a zen but this is a deal for an Ipod Nano.

Cheers. I'm not havin a go or anythin, I know that your doin a good thing letting people know about it.

All I was tryin to say is that some people have different perceptions of what a deals is. Some it is Brand and cost, I totally agree with you there, others look for functionality and value for their money.

I guess it all depends on what you think of as a good deal I suppose. Ah well, people know where it to get it cheaper now that you've listed it. Cheers.

I was thinking about getting a zen (previously had a psp and an archos 605). What is your opinion on it?
I am interested in sound quality, codec support, duability and battery life, can you give me a quick review?

I have got the psp and rate it as a handheld games console however I found it a little too big for a portable media device, I was considering an Archos 605 wifi but then took the plunge and bought a gen 1 Iphone and have never looked back, as for the nano I cant really comment on the sound quality or durability and battery life as I do not own one myself. Have you tried www.Reevoo.co.uk? its fantastic for reviews. thanks

Unfortunately they outsell their counterparts by huge ratios, which allows Apple to keep their prices very high. If only people didn't buy them every time a newer model is released every two months or so.

Sorry scotty I was asking about the zen :)
I personally dislike apple and their ipods (believe there are better mp3 players available)
#11
no probs each to their own!
#12
Don't worry, unlike some users I vote on just the price for the particular item (I don't like ipod but this is still a good price for some people)
#13
Quit yer jibber-jabber, get down Tescos and get some nuts! And whilst yer there, get this deal. Hot hot and don't forget the Tesco points!

pixmania a french company where if anything goes wrong you have to send it back at your own expense and dixons which is the same minus being french. plus clubcard points and extra quidco at tesco, is it really worth comparing for a few pence?!

Could say that about most dvds posted here, or most food items or.... a product isn't necessarily always hot when it's the same price, or cheaper, elsewhere.

I avoided Apple and iTunes for years.

Had an Archos 20Gb player for a while, before it suddenly died.
Then I had a Creative Zen V+, which eventually became more trouble than it was worth. Took a ridiculous amount of time to get music onto it.

I finally got a 16Gb 4th gen Nano in October, and it's been an absolute revelation. It's just far, far more user-friendly than anything else I've ever used.

It's brilliant, frankly. If you want a portable player, this is the boy.

I have been looking into getting an MP3 player for a while now. While i like to buck the trend and not go for 'popular' easy to use brands (like apple) I am being drawn in. I would personally pay the extra £50 and get a 2nd gen 8 gig iTouch tho...

Still hot for the 8 gig nano

Appologies, it has. Think there will be a smiliar one though

You could probally go to Currys, and have them price match tesco, which would put you even cheaper.

There's a £10 off, but as previously mentioned, when you take into account Quidco at 1% more, Tesco points and the convenience of collecting/returning instore, I'd rather buy from Tesco

lol...they will only price match the original price of 108.97 so you would save approx 10p by getting it at currys/pc world ;-)

Plus lose the clubcard points and quidco

New iPods come out once a year, not every two months, but nice try.

You pinched my avvi! :w00t:

Good deal (rep added) - I love my 30Gb ZEN though - better price / better spec. You pay for the brand..... (and I dislike iTunes almost as much as I hate the Sony software shipped for their minidisk players.).

We need a music source for the house since our amplifier packed up.
I don't wish to replace the large stereo type system we had, so was thinking about an Ipod since I already own an IMAC.
(Am I right in assuming I am constrained to getting an Ipod if I want something that will seamlessy
connect to the Imac?)
Anyway I was thinking about getting an 32gb Itouch(without phone) and a 'docking/speaker' system
to cater for our needs, mainly to be used in our 6 year old's bedroom but which would prove portable
when required elsewhere.
Any advice & best places to buy such items greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Same as Marshall Ward offer a few weeks ago.

I had an iriver and used winamp to sync my music. Until i moved ot itunes and later bought my ipod classic. I admit it's not perfect but does the job for me. I can also sync my blackberry bold with itunes and download a playlist onto it. My bro uses winamp with his ipod no problems which is what I could do.
