not that au fait with ipods...is this a good deal compared to a refurb 30gb creative zen for £95 I've seen??
#4
depends what you're after and how much music you have.

this is probably a quarter of the size of a 30gb zen.

so if you have less than 8gb of music and are a jogger and can get used to itunes, go for it.

if you have over 8gb of music and the zen is going to be plugged into speakers rather than jogged with, personally i think the zen software is far less infuriating.
#5
I 'm also led to believe that ipods are more fault prone compared to the zens?
thinking of a couple for xmas pressies for the kids

well said. I am not itune fan as i prefer Drag and drop a lot and using multiple pc's.
but again the main thing with the ipod nano is the excellent battery life.

my friend dc2447
how's it crazy talk if the nano packs up & freezes all the time and the zen works trouble-free... the comparison is about price and reliability... can do the math on capacity thanks

I've got a Nano, I use it all the time, have had it over a year, great piece of kit, never had any problems - in fact I don't know anyone who has. :)

Got a nano, love it, never had any problems. BUT I do know some people who have had problems with the screen and Apple didn't want to know when they tried to get it repaired/replaced. Take your pick, as I say i love mine and it's worked fine for over a year now (1st generation nano).

MediaMonkey is a better tool, and will snyc happily with all sorts of mp3 players, including Ipods

Just went to buy this, put it in my basket & carried on shopping then it just disappeared out of my basket (8mb). Gone......gutted now as this was for my sons birthday. They have the 4mb one but it was better value for the 8mb. Anyone else know any good deals for an ipod???
#21
Link to buy the 8Gb now gone!
Blue 4Gb iPod £72.95 delivered (using the 25% voucher) - not bad!

Was £307???? Someone is taking the p***. If ever there was a time for Trading Standards to get involved then this was it. The 8GB iPod nano has NEVER been that price ANYWHERE!!!
Littlewoods should be hauled through the courts for such blatant mis-selling - this borders on the downright lies, along with JFK being shot by Lee Harvey Oswald and the Apollo Moon missions.

thanks

looks like expired to me as well. but keep an eye as they generally brink the new stock.

In case anyone is seriously against Itunes...there is a Ipod plugin for Winamp, so you don't have to use Itunes at all.

Having said that I love my nano had it since it came out (1st Gen) OH loves her 2nd Gen as does my son...never had an issue with any of them. I have a 20gig Rio Karma gathering dust though :( I have plenty of music but 4gb is plenty for me to carry around, and it being flash based I have no worries run around plus you can use the Nike+ stuff.

my 2 cents - my 2nd gen 8 gig nano is great, doesnt crash etc plus i can use sharepod which is a piece of soft that runs off the ipod itself an removes the need for itunes. it means i can upload music onto my pod from any pc

link not working

Eveyone who doesn't like itunes, just download a program called vpod instead. It lets you drag and drop files like the ipod is a HDD rather than using that ****** itunes interface.

Tried to but at moment does not work with version 7.3 which I have as I just bought ipod nano from Argos this afternoon and updated firmware and itune software.Guess I will have to persevere with itunes

I need a little help from all you people with ipods.

Where can I get music videos to play on my new nano.I cannot get it to play avi files and all videos that I have downloaded seem to come in that format?

on a similar theme to the above posts how do you transfer dvd films to an ipod.

anybody know if there is any good free software to convert files so you can play them on an ipod. - If not any recommendations for paid software :)
