If you've ever had the urge to throw a washing machine at a panda then this game is for you. In all seriousness this game is excellent and for 80 MS points it is a bargain. If you don't want to spend 80 MS points on this game, then try the demo.

The full game has 100 levels, less than a penny per level!

It is similar to Super Mario Brothers 2.

The Daily Record described it as a "modern day classic".

Blurb: Apple Jack is a platform/puzzle game in which you DESTROY enemies by picking them up and HURLING them at each other! Journey west through five counties and 100 levels on a quest to rescue your beloved dog from the icy summit of Mount Snowdon!

If you have an Xbox 360 and 80 ms points. Then it's well worth buying.

It's always been 80 points so you'll get stick from some people. It is great.
#3
It's still a bargain though so I hope they don't ! ;)

Its not a deal if its the RRP or release price.

Therefore cold, regardless of it being a good game or not.

It might get some heat over at www.clickaredarrowifyoulikethis.com

Cheers for making me aware of this, going to download now.

As above, not really a deal as its RRP. Still not a bad indie game though.

Just to let people (as sad as me) know, there are no achievements for this game.

This isnt a hot deal
its the going price
and ontop of that its an indie game with no achievements

Achievements are crap. Playing games past any point of enjoyment to make a number go up means games are not going in the right direction.
#16
In some respect yeah I agree, There have been numerous crap games people have rinsed just for cheevo's

But on the other hand, i got more play out of excellent games looking for them difficult cheevo's, something I wouldn't have done before

Miner Dig Deep is a great game, get it...there's loads more as well, for what? 60p or so?

i did not get one with this one, though i seem to be in the minority, lots of ones i do like however, anything by Radian Games http://radiangames.com/ is worth a look, fluid being my fave, and the game i got with my 80 points.

Not a deal as its RRP so imo not hot however I am not going to vote cold either.

isn't the majority of the site advertising, isn't it self promoting that isn't allowed?
#24
It is self promoting if you ask me. The OP sounds to be linked.

Regardless of the game being at this price since it release, it is a great game at a great price. I bought Apple Jack a while back and managed to squeeze a good ten hours out of it. I massively recommend it to anyone. The UK theme of the game as well is delicious. And the argument that it has no achievements so isn't worth playing is moronic, just play the damn game.

Anyone played Soul? My God...so frustrating and creepy. XD

Do people really call them cheevos? That makes it even more sad.

I remember when people used to play games just for the enjoyment of it rather than showing off how "pro" they are to a bunch of people that don't even give a toss.

To some extent, the gamerpoints thing is a bit of a wet affair. I do think that achievements are good though, it provides a set of challenges and extends the lifespan of a lot of games.

Certain games are really challenging and the achievements keep you coming back. Peggle for one is a total **** to master. I have been at it for around a year and still have stuff to do. It will not break me, however.

Edit: Back on topic (duh), if you got 2100 points at 15 quid, this game works out about 60 pence. If you get about half an hour's enjoyment out of it, it's still better value than the cinema. Plus, Indie devs need the money, I guess... now where do you go about becoming an XBox dev...?

Apple Jack is a great game for chillaxing! Heat.
#31
I remember when games used to give you cool unlockables for doing difficult challenges instead of meaningless achievement points :(

Apple Jack is ace by the way.

I'm not linked in any way at all.

A brilliant game, but this is just the standard price. In fact it's the base price for many indie titles from XNA developers. Is this just a marketing plot?

Can't bring myself to vote cold because the game is just so damn charming.
