Just hate the fact Apple has now stop letting you tinker with these so no self upgrades. I'll keep my 2011 i5 2.5ghtz with 16gb ram & 256gb solid state as long as it's supported.

I'm a big fan of Mac's, but have to say that is a great line! Haha

Just build a hackintosh if your an apple fan. It is not rocket science.

I second Bravo2zero1 comment, would rather buy a second hand apple product that can be upgraded than have the newer, non user upgradable versions - have done that with a 2012 Mac book and a 2012 Mac mini - both with 16gb and SSD's in now

I too prefer the 2012 and have the i7 upgraded. What I object to on this site though is it should really change its name to hotopinion because people used to vote if something is a deal but now vote because of their love or hate of a product. I still vote by deal so have some heat! Cheapest for one of these by quite a bit.

yeah I've voted hot too - the mac mini is a nice device and looks good too, and I believe apple have put the price of these up post Brexit anyway haven't they?

Apple price increases are Not to do with Brexit. They put the price up in Europe too...in fact it's still the case that most of them cost more abroad in straight conversion...also have in the US so it's greed. But yeah so this model is like £479 direct so that's why I say I can't believe the cold votes if going purely on price and not on hatred of Apple!

Thanks - I bought one, a good deal - though came to £347 at checkout ...
