An old model now so I'd expect to see a greater reduction given that Apple reduced the prices on the Macbook Pro.

Macbook Pro 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
2GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x1GB
160GB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400 rpm

Is currently £899 direct from Apple

Why do people insist on placing these overpriced old macs as 'deals'... As I commented before, another £100 off maybe but this is overpriced big time...

Now if it was 699 inc del... maybe we would be talking :P

Same model in Apple Refurb store for £729 (refurb), and also in store only at John Lewis for £749 (brand new, not refurb, spotted at JL Leicester last wknd).

Failing that, for a real Mac bargain find someone that has access to the Apple Store for Higher Education!

Yep just bought a MacBook Pro for myself using the Higher Ed discount scheme. There is also a great offer on the Touch if you buy it at the same time as a Mac you can get a £145 rebate.

Got to say I wish I'd gone Mac years ago. Yeah they are expensive but so far everything i've used it for has out performed a PC.

I suspect it was an innocent mistake and compared to a current Macbook Pro.

Expensive for what it is.
