Not sure why people have voted this cold as you rightly say its the cheapest around by quite some way. The only cheaper option is via the Higher Education agreement from Apple, but not everyone has access to that. Voted hot from me.

You can also get the 2.0 Unibody Macbook for £814.79 using the 3APPLE code:thumbsup:

Most people are voting cold because any laptop over £400 isn't a bargain. Voted hot personally.

There's a lot of jealous 'mac haters' who will vote cold. But this is a great price for the best laptop on the market. Voted hot.

This is a joke. the price is a joke. Very HOT from me.

The BEST deal for any non students. And to the links going out for student deals.
Pay the £3,125 a year for the discount like the rest of the students.
Hope they catch you. Luck only last so long

Good Price... unless you know a student! Not familar with the retailer though.

Apple will usually match this, plus they have 10 months interest free credit at the moment (which helps). Either way its hot!

Hey all, I'm looking to buy a macbook pro by the end of this week, hopefully tonight to get it before then.

Do you think this is the best price for a MBP? I may be able to get a student discount too through a friend, but this seems cheaper:

apple store education: £1,259.25
this: £1185

But you get apple care for much less price if you bought together with MBP

Not really bothered about apple care or freebies if it means 200 more and hassle getting it on student price.

Also whats laskys about? Anybody know if their a Reputable seller? Big purchase so want to know these things :s
#12
Laskys are quite a big company - good aftersales etc too. Ordered mine on Monday and delivery should be anytime soon.
#13
Laskys are owned by Comet

£792 for the 2Ghz Macbook with the discount.

Appreciate these are still expensive laptops but if you want one you'd be happy to save a lot of money using these deals. Amazon have now hit limited stock on the MBP and price has now rocketed above the Apple stores price....C'mon vote HOT!!

Ok I just purchased the 17" Macbook pro from laskys for £1700 delivered, very excited!
#16
just received mine - now using it to browse. Awesome piece of kit and design - worth every penny. Also purchased Office 2008 and a nice sleeve and still cheaper than the apple store and Amazon. Good service from Laskys - vote HOT!!
#17
I'm glad i've waited as they have now released the new Macbook and Macbook pros
#18
typical - devalued the pro brand by renaming the previously unibody macbooks as pros.

I still think I got a good deal as the equivalent (albeit with a slightly faster processor 0.26GHZ and more RAM) is still £300 more expensive plus I can change by battery if it dies whereas the new ones come with the non-removable one so its a return to Apple job if it goes.
