The Apple MacBook Pro MC374B/A is powered by a fast and efficient 2.4 GHz Intel® Core2 Duo Processor and runs Apple's beautiful Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard operating system.

This model is a strong upgrade of the original, wildly successful 13-inch MacBook Pro. Impressively full-featured yet just 2.41 cm thick, the Apple MacBook Pro MC374BA is a stunning showcase of Apple's design prowess and a hard act for any laptop to follow! And with 4GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive, it now has more memory and disk space than ever before.

Notebook computers often lead tough lives, so the 13" Apple MacBook Pro boasts a precision aluminium unibody enclosure for superb durability and long-lasting good looks. This revolutionary body is hewn from a solid block of metal, eliminating unnecessary seams and improving strength while keeping the notebook weight to a very mobile 2.04 kg.

The Apple MacBook Pro is a joy to carry on your day-to-day business, so you'll be pleased to know the built-in battery lasts up to 10 hours on a single charge. Thanks to advanced chemistry and Adaptive Charging it can also withstand roughly 3x more charge cycles than a conventional laptop battery before needing to be replaced - which means more hassle-free computing and less environmental waste.

When it comes to performance, the 13-inch Apple MacBook Pro blazes ahead with Intel's dual-core Core2 Duo processor. Ultra-efficient NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics drive an LED-backlit, widescreen display with 1280 x 800 pixels, offering a gorgeous view of your digital world. The latest Wireless N networking and Bluetooth 2.1 EDR are also present, as is Gigabit Ethernet, an illuminated keyboard, a glass Multi-Touch trackpad, a superfast FireWire 800 port, built-in iSight camera, and much more!

Of course it wouldn't be an Apple without OS X Snow Leopard and iLife software. The 13-inch Apple MacBook Pro MC374B/A comes preloaded with everything you need to enjoy the best of digital music, photography, video, the internet and even the occasional text document - right out of the box.

£999 in currys, but if you add a filler to take your order over £1000, you can use code "10MAY" at checkout to get 10% off, as well as quidco. Slightly cheaper than Dixons....

Aren't these due to get Core i3 processors soon? I know they've already upgraded the 15 and 17 inch models to the newer chips.

No, I very much doubt it. There's a legal argument between intel and Nvidea which means that if Apple used the Core i3 they couldn't use the NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics and would have to use intel HD graphics which are very inferior. The larger macbooks use additional graphics cards to get around the problem but these probably wouldn't fit in the 13" and would increase cost, reduce battery life etc.
