--------------------------------

The Apple MacBook Pro MC374B/A is driven by a lightning-fast and highly efficient 2.4 GHz Intel® CoreTM2 Duo processor, and runs on the fantastic Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard operating system.

This model is a major upgrade from the original, incredibly successful 13-inch MacBook Pro. Although jam-packed with technology, the MacBook Pro MC374BA by Apple is just 2.41 cm thick and therefore a hard act for any laptop to beat! With 4 GB of RAM and a 250 GB hard drive, this notebook has more memory and disk space than any portable computer ever before.

Designed for use on the move, the Apple MacBook Pro has an aluminium body made from one solid piece of aluminium, for greater durability and a lighter weight (just 2.04 kg).

The Apple MacBook Pro is a delight to use too: you'll be pleased to find that the integrated battery lasts for up to 10 hours per charge. Advanced chemistry and Adaptive Charging allow the battery to maintain power for longer and determine the best way to charge it.

When it comes to performances, the 13" Apple MacBook Pro is miles ahead of the competition thanks to the Intel dual-core CoreTM2 Duo processor. The NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics card provides some dazzling shows on the widescreen display with 1280 x 800-pixel resolution and LED backlighting.

Meanwhile, wireless N and Bluetooth 2.1 EDR support is accompanied by a Gigabit Ethernet port, an illuminated keyboard, a glass Multi-Touch pad, a high-speed FireWire 800 jack, a built-in iSight camera and loads more!

Of course, like all computers from Apple, the MacBook Pro MC374B/A comes with Snow Leopard and iLife software, as well as everything else you need to enjoy music, photos, videos and the internet - straight out of the box!

You can substitute any the last two digits and pick the institution of your choice 8)

WRT your HP, who did you buy it off and how old is it? If under six years, then you are fully entitled to go back to the vendor and demand that they fix/replace/refund under the Sales of Goods Act 1979 as the product is clearly not durable or fit for purpose. I must stress that your case does not lie with the manufacturer (HP), but the company your bought it from - If that happens to be HP, then fine! Warranties are a red herring - Sales of Goods Act is the way to go!

Best thing would be to write a letter (google and research SOGA) and take that in and hand it to the manager. In it I would use and example like the netbook you bought around the same time is still going strong, and since the HP machine is worth over three times the price of the netbook, then you expect it to at least last as long...

I have a letter I wrote for my brother for when his iPhone broke that you can have if you want to PM me your email?

X) WOW another incredible apple product and another great bit of apple PR/propaganda!

Somehow I reckon there may be other portable computers with more memory and hard disk space (which incidentally also cost less money) although some of the apple fan boys no doubt believe every word that is printed and will strongly diagree when I say this as they do whenever anyone says something derogatory about an apple product.

Haha - not sure I am up to the standing of Earl Hickey, but I tries me best... It's just something I can get on my soap box about, that's all :)

Have you managed to get your problem sorted?
